I went to the Glenn Beck show in Richmond, VA last night with the wife. Thanks to Glenn's generosity for former military we were able to get free tickets in center orchestra, very good seats. Richmond Police are looking for information about the people responsible for the assault and robbery. According to Richmond Police, the video was shot in Richmond's Shockoe Bottom neighborhood around 1:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011. The video shows two men being attacked by other men in the 1700 block of East Cary Street. Police say one of the victim’s wallet was taken during the assault. The victims were treated and released from a local hospital. Cities and counties don't have to consult with unions before deciding to lay off workers to save money, the state Supreme Court ruled Monday. The court unanimously upheld Richmond's decision to eliminate 18 of its 90 firefighting jobs in 2003, when the city said it faced potential bankruptcy. The International Association of Fire Fighters argued that the city could have avoided layoffs by cutting costs in other areas, and filed a complaint with the state Public Employment Relations Board. Fans who smoke may continue to do so, but in approved areas only.
