The “father of the abortion movement,” Larry Lader, was heavily influenced by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, about whom he wrote a biography. Planned Parenthood was also steeped in eugenics from its beginning, and boasted a list of eugenics proponents as its board members. Although the two shared a eugenics ideology, Lader would eventually part ways with Sanger over abortion. But it was perhaps Sanger’s warped eugenic ideology that motivated Lader to manipulate the 1960s women’s movement to push for abortion legalization. Lader wasn’t interested in equal rights… just ‘abortion rights’ “Larry never seemed to be interested in the rest...

A woman's fertility normally decreases by her late 30s with reproductive function eventually ceasing at menopause. It is known that a small molecule called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) plays a critical role in this decline, and scientists have revealed how this happens and have identified potential new approaches to enhance reproductive longevity. NAD+, which is present in all cells throughout the human body, begins to decline with age and maintaining optimal levels is vital for key cellular functions and healthy aging, said Perrone. Recently, it became clear that the same decline was occurring in the ovaries, contributing to the natural...

There is a consistent inverse association between maternal exposure to perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and semen quality in young adult male offspring, according to a study. Katia Keglberg Hærvig, Ph.D. and colleagues examined associations between maternal plasma PFAS levels during early pregnancy and male offspring reproductive function in adulthood. The analysis included 864 young men and first-trimester samples from their mothers. The researchers found that for a 1-unit increase in the weighted quantile sum index, combined maternal PFAS exposure was associated with lower sperm concentration, lower total sperm count, and a higher proportion of nonprogressive and immotile sperm in...

Any ideology that cannot successfully reproduce over the course of several generations is doomed to fail. Put another way, any ideology that must rely on indoctrination more than (biological) reproduction cannot succeed in the long term. What does this imply for the future of leftwing secularism? My thesis here is simple. On average, religious people have more children than non-religious people, and since religious people tend to lean right and non-religious people tend to lean left, there will be a long-term decline in the left-leaning base. Thus, according to, “The Future of Secularism: a Biologically Informed Theory Supplemented with Cross-Cultural Evidence,” published...

A VISIT TO MYSTERIOUS MONUMENTS IN GEORGIA BRINGS STRANGE FEELINGS, STRANGER HISTORY We have to admit there's an unnerving sensation at those monoliths known as the "Georgia Guidestones." We visited them on Monday, and while at first they seemed innocuous (plus, at first glance, smaller perhaps than one might expect), an oppressive atmosphere soon enough envelopes one the longer one lingers surveyinging these stones that aren't so small or undaunting once one is at the base (and in the shadow) of them. Widely described as the most mysterious monuments in the United States, or as "America's Stonehenge," the guidestones were...

New UC Riverside research shows soybean oil not only leads to obesity and diabetes, but could also affect neurological conditions like autism, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, and depression. Specifically, the scientists found pronounced effects of the oil on the hypothalamus, where a number of critical processes take place. “The hypothalamus regulates body weight via your metabolism, maintains body temperature, is critical for reproduction and physical growth as well as your response to stress,” “The dogma is that saturated fat is bad and unsaturated fat is good. Soybean oil is a polyunsaturated fat, but the idea that it’s good for you is...

Human beings bear the image and likeness of God. They are to be reverenced as sacred. Never are they to be used as a means to an end, not even to satisfy the deepest wishes of an infertile couple. Husbands and wives "make love," they do not "make babies." They give expression to their love for one another, and a child may or may not be engendered by that act of love. The marital act is not a manufacturing process, and children are not products. Like the Son of God himself, we are the kind of beings who are "begotten,...

Fully informed consent of any abortion event, whether surgical or chemical, should include the long-term implications for women's health and fertility. poiler Alert: For fans of Amazon Prime, trending now is season one of a show called “Utopia,” in which John Cusack plays a billionaire madman who wants to “solve” overpopulation by tricking the world into believing in a global pandemic so he can sell a vaccine that actually sterilizes people. For most of humanity, a medical event ends a person’s ability to have a family. With abortion, the parallels between fact and this fiction are uncomfortably close. Why women have abortions...

There is no more unifying experience among women around the globe than menstruation. All women understand what it feels like to have their period—even if they don’t exactly understand what it is. And yet, the topic of menstruation continues to hold significant stigmas, and embarrassment or hesitation to discuss this vital function of the female body has created gaps in our knowledge of how the menstrual cycle affects a women’s overall health. Therefore, it was a welcome shock to discover that the May 2019 issue of Scientific American magazine is primarily dedicated to the science of women’s reproductive health—or rather,...

Ella Rasmussen’s doctors started to prod her about children when she turned 30. She was single, suffered from endometriosis, and contemplated a hysterectomy. After several years, the nudges took hold. Because she wasn’t a good candidate to freeze only her eggs, she was advised to undergo IVF and freeze fertilized embryos. (Snip) "Her doctor made a recommendation: go American."

This article was first posted October 26, 2017, at Crisis Magazine. The Media-Entertainment Complex claims to be “shocked, shocked, I tell you,” to learn that powerful Hollywood men like Harvey Weinstein engage in a systematic pattern of sexual assault. Those of us outside Hollywood are not the slightest bit shocked. In fact, a lot of us in Fly-Over Country are just waiting for other powerful men to be implicated. This situation gives us an opportunity to unmask the ideology that enable predators like Weinstein. One of the most revolutionary ideas of our time is that a good and decent society ought to...

TULSA, Oklahoma, April 12, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — An Oklahoma mother allowed her daughter to go on an educational field trip only to have her return with a three-year chemical contraceptive implant inside her arm. Langston Hughes Academy hosts an annual sex-ed class by Youth Services of Tulsa. When Miracle Foster's daughter wanted to learn more, she allowed her to visit the clinic. But Youth Services of Tulsa is part of the Tulsa Area Teen Pregnancy Prevention Collaborative, whose PregNOT program began in 2010 with $1.5 million in tax funding from the Obama Health and Human Services' Office of Adolescent Health....

Single men and women without medical issues will be classed as “infertile” if they do not have children but want to become a parent, the World Health Organisation is to announce. In a move which dramatically changes the definition of infertility, the WHO will declare that it should no longer be regarded as simply a medical condition. The authors of the new global standards said the revised definition gave every individual “the right to reproduce”.

Motherless babies could be on the horizon after scientists discovered a method of creating offspring without the need for a female egg. The landmark experiment by the University of Bath rewrites 200 years of biology teaching and could pave the way for a baby to be born from the DNA of two men.

NPR correspondent Jennifer Ludden profiled some of my work in procreative ethics with an article entitled, “Should we be having kids in the age of climate change?,” which summarized my published views that we ought to consider adopting a “small family ethic” and even pursuing fertility reduction efforts in response to the threat from climate change. ... Perhaps many of us in rich countries (the “us” who might be reading this) will be largely protected from these early harms; but that doesn’t make them less real to the vulnerable citizens of, say, Bangladesh, Kiribati or the Maldives. In fact, it...

I confidently predict that people will still be having sex in 20 to 40 years’ time, but they will be using sex to conceive their babies much less often. Two biomedical advances are going to change how humans reproduce: whole genome sequencing and stem cell technology.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) has introduced legislation that would fund lawyers who assist illegal aliens to avoid deportation. "Look, these immigrants have undertaken lengthy and sometimes dangerous journeys to get here," Reid said. "It would be a shame to see all of that effort go to waste just because they've entered the country illegally. There are a variety of stratagems that lawyers can use to help these people evade that fate. But lawyers won't work for free and these immigrants are too poor to pay their fees. My bill will put the financial burden where it belongs—on the...

Rep. Donald Beyer (D-VA), along with 82 co-sponsors from the Democratic Party, introduced House Resolution 569. This legislation makes hateful rhetoric towards Muslims a crime in the United States. Beyer contends that "this legislation is needed to head-off the abuse of this beleaguered minority before it becomes entrenched." Religion-based hate crimes against Jews in the United States are five times as common as hate crimes against Muslims. Still, Beyer defended singling out crimes against Muslims for greater attention contending that "it's too late for us to try to undo centuries of anti-Semitism, especially if doing so would further inflame Muslims...

How do the British think this is going to work out in ten years? Twenty? British authorities are not concerned about this, because they assume that Islam is a religion of peace and all will be well. But this will mean the fundamental transformation of British society — and probably the Islamization of Britain will not be gentle or peaceful. “Afghan and Somali women in Britain have FOUR times as many kids as UK born mums,†by David Pilditch, Express, August 17, 2015:The UK is now home to more families containing four or more children than at any time since...
