Motherless babies could be on the horizon after scientists discovered a method of creating offspring without the need for a female egg. The landmark experiment by the University of Bath rewrites 200 years of biology teaching and could pave the way for a baby to be born from the DNA of two men.

The one positive aspect I can see in this would be the ability to rebuild the Y chromosome. Since the Y cannot benefit from contributions from both parents, it has degraded over time.

I thought the big thing in this sort of research was the fatherless baby, allowing feminists to maintain that men were unnecessary. New research puts the shoe on the other foot, so to speak.

Yeah, this may be a bridge too far. The irony is, “womyn” who thought men wouldn’t be needed other than to provide the necessary goo for reproduction, may find themselves not needed at all!
