President Obama took the occasion of Easter Sunday to chastise Christians for being “less than loving.” “Over the past few months alone we’ve seen so-called Christians refuse to take photographs and bake cakes for gay weddings,” the President lamented. “This directly contradict’s Jesus’ admonition to ‘judge not lest ye be judged.’” Obama rejected the idea that Christians might have legitimate religious objections to social policies with which they disagree. “Jesus bade his followers to turn the other cheek if they are offended,” he reminded. “Jesus allowed himself to be crucified rather than fight back against those who wronged him. Shouldn’t...

“Faith, Fellowship, and Forgiveness” (John 20:19-31; 1 John 1:1 – 2:2; Acts 4:32-35) Did you get any gifts for Easter? Maybe an Easter basket, filled with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans and Easter eggs that you open up and there’s a coin inside? Well, I can think of some Easter gifts that are even better than that. And today I want to tell you about them. They’re right there in our readings for today, and they are these Easter gifts, three of them: “Faith, Fellowship, and Forgiveness.” Faith, fellowship, and forgiveness: three Easter gifts that we have because of the...

We apologise for this aneurysm inducing news, but seriously a Mufti in Saudi Arabia has just declared that a Muslim can cannibalise his wife. You heard correctly: Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, a man of religious power in Saudi Arabia, believes it is halal to eat your wife. Clarifying his stance, Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah explains that literally eating your wife is permitted only if you're extremely hungry. Translating what appeared on multiple Arab websites (here, here, here, here and here): “A fatwa attributed to the Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, which allows a man to eat his...
  • Iranian Ayatollah Calls Obama “Lying Devil” [semi-satire]

Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, characterized US President Barack Obama’s statements about the agreement negotiated between the two countries as “deceptive” and evidence of “devilish” intentions. “Obama’s assertion that Iran has agreed to ramp down its pursuit of nuclear weapons in exchange for a phasing out of economic sanctions is a lie,” Khamenei said. “What we have agreed to is this. First, all sanctions must be immediately ended. Once this happens we agree to refrain from engaging in any nuclear attacks until, in our judgment, circumstances for a favorable outcome warrant it. Most likely, circumstances won’t be favorable for at...

1.) La Raza Provides info to Illegal Aliens on Where They Can Vote, Illegally of course La Raza, the radical group supporting illegal immigration is providing a map, created by the Washington Post, directing people to locations where they can vote without producing an ID. This is an obvious effort to circumvent US law. “Already there are fears that illegals voting can swing close elections for the Senate.” The WaPo article claims to simply be providing voter ID laws in each state, but it is in reality using this blind to draw a map which illegals can follow to the...

What are we to believe? The evidence of our eyes and ears or the tall tale from the Rose Garden? When the president says that Iran won’t get nuclear armaments on his watch, he’s right if the ayatollahs stick by his version of the so-far unestablished rules of the Lausanne negotiations. With all the disagreement as to what’s in the unwritten agreement, Obama’s claim may or may not have teeth. Either way, by his own admittance Iran will eventually obtain nuclear weapons (some in his hire say it already has the capacity), just not while he’s in office. According to...

By now you're probably familiar with the controversy around Indiana's Religious Freedom laws. Over at The Nation, their resident sports editor, David Zirin, is always ready to find some radical leftist angle on any sports story, and this year's NCAA Final Four tournament was no exception. In the week leading up to the Final Four games, Zirin published a piece "Duke University Coach Mike Krzyzewski Is a Profile in Cowardice" demanding that a firm stand be taken by Coach K: “I’m only going to talk about my team and basketball and the Final Four. Just like when we get to...

Dear Editor: Your recent editorial on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (that has apparently been tossed in the closet for this legislative session) brought out some interesting points. I agree that a major problem in our society is the cheapening of the sexual relationship. God originally meant it to be shared as part of the exclusive bond between a husband and his wife, not reduced to the almost animalistic way it has become portrayed in the media, and now lived out in some circles. We are really reaping the rotten fruit of the “sexual revolution” of the 1960s and following...

Get focused, get organized, and get economically determined. You have nothing to lose but the reflexive disrespect of those who have grown quite comfortable bashing your religion with impunity Dear Christian Americans, it’s cards on the table time. As someone who deeply respects your faith, I feel compelled to offer you some heartfelt advice: That “turn the other cheek” thing isn’t working anymore. In America, there’s a take-no-prisoners culture war going on, courtesy of an American Left whose definition of tolerance begins and ends with, “You either agree with us, or you’re bigots.” In the rest of the world, as...

Gaystapo message to evangelicals and conservatives isn't the once-heralded live-and-let-live proverb; it's the ISIS shout to the infidel, "Renounce your faith or die!" When the idea of same-sex “marriage” was first soft pedaled to the gullible masses, the pitch was, “What can it possibly matter to you if two men or two women wed?” As Glenn Beck said, “If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me?” Since then conservatives and evangelical business owners have learned the difference it makes and why it matters: It can mean an end to their small businesses,...

Vatican Approves Sainthood Process for Helder Camara, Patron of the Brazilian Catholic Left By Julio Severo Just weeks after official announcement of the beatification of the leftist Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero, murdered in 1980, the Vatican has given a green light for the sainthood process for a Brazilian bishop known for radically promoting the liberation theology: Helder Camara (1909-1999). The beatification request was made by Olinda and Recife Archbishop Fernando Saburido, who received from the Vatican a very positive answer. In an interview to the Catholic TV network Canção Nova, Saburido said, “Helder Camara was a courageous prophet who...

Gabby Giffords: Gun Control will curb terrorism. Which is why multiple planes were flown into the Twin Towers and Pentagon. The type of weapon terrorists use to achieve their goal is a moot point for they will always find a means to deliver their insatiable wrath. If it's not a gun, it's a plane. If it's not a plane, it's a pressure cooker bomb. If it's not a pressure cooker bomb, it's a virulent toxin. You can't defeat terrorism by focusing on the garnish simply because you desire Gun Control above all else and see an opportunity to hijack a...

Wednesday, April 08, 2015 The Closing of the Liberal Mind Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog Suppose that you are a Soviet agent in 1955. Your cover is that of an insurance salesman. Of your two "jobs", the Soviet agent part is more important, but you need to be a good insurance salesman to maintain your cover. Being a good insurance salesman doesn't clash with being a good Communist, because your job selling life insurance allows you to pursue your real job. And you cannot conflate the two jobs. You can't sell insurance to your KGB bosses...

Why is the President of the United States so attuned to appeasing the Islamic world by refusing to connect Islam extremism to the continued destruction and slaughter of Christians around the world The resurrection of Jesus changes the face of death for all His people. Death is no longer a prison, but a passage into God’s presence. Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won’t stay there. -Clarence W. Hall At a time when Christians were celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, an Islamic terrorist group, Al-Shabaab,slaughtered 147 innocent students. All Christians. Yet again, President Obama...

The Most Revereddd Mohamed Allah-scimitar This is a post by my (imaginary) guest author, the Most Reverend Mohamed Allah-scimitar, President Obama’s chief foreign policy adviser on Islamic relations with Christians and Jews. But first, some related observations:Iran continues to reject as lies Obama's statements about the April 2nd P5+1 nuke "deal," and states that it "could build bomb today" but won't because of Ayatollah Khamenei's (non-existent) fatwa. Understandably, Israel is becoming increasingly concerned about her future existence. Obama's claims that He has her back and that she therefore need not worry about anyone (else) who tries to "mess with Israel." His assurances have provided...

Liberal mainstream media attacks on family values built on rather dubious foundations The attacks on “family values” in the liberal mainstream media seem never-ending. And yet, when we look rigorously at the data the anti-family value advocates use to support their claims, we often find the liberal attacks are built on rather dubious foundations. A recent article in the Globe and Mail newspaper proclaims that “‘it turns out ‘family values’ are bad for families.” This shocking conclusion is followed up by the core insight that “‘[t]he way to have more and better families today is to get far away from...

Progress? The President must be joking President Obama seems to have been unduly optimistic in triumphantly proclaiming the success of the P5+1 talks with Iran in Lausanne. Speaking from the White House President Obama announced: “Today, the United States—together with our allies and partners—has reached a historic understanding with Iran, which, if fully implemented, will prevent it from obtaining a nuclear weapon.” There was only “an understanding”—not even a piece of paper initialled by representatives of all the parties to the long and complex negotiations - that President Obama could wave to the waiting media setting out what that “understanding”...

Islam is not just a religion, or a form of government. It is a complete system, encompassing religious, legal, political, economic and military components, with each being utilized as required. “Muslims” are those that follow the Islamic doctrine. Islamic domination occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called “religious rights.” When politically correct and culturally diverse societies, such as ours, agree to seemingly reasonable Muslim demands for their religious liberties, they are subsequently enforced on the remainder of the population through the use of their political and military components. Dr. Peter Hammond, in his...

Britney Cooper thinks she’s cornered the market on Jesus.  A white-hating, microaggression-avoiding, birth-control-loving, sexually free, and “possibly queer” Jesus. Of course she’s lost her mind, along with whatever faith she has as a “practicing Christian.”  Then again, Salon.com published this puddle of intellectual putrescence because they need the clicks, right? As a practicing Christian, I am deeply incensed by these calls for restoration and reclamation in the name of religious freedom. This kind of legislation is largely driven by conservative Christian men and women, who hold political views that are antagonistic to every single group of people who are not white, male,...
