Media Watch certainly needs to issue a clarification and apology Australia’s national news broadcaster (“ABC”) has belatedly admitted that “human error” wiped Israel off this map. This admission came during the investigation of a complaint lodged by me concerning a segment aired on Media Watch featuring the above map titled “Misplaced map outrage” Audience and Consumer Affairs (“AACA”) - a unit separate to and independent of the content making areas of the ABC – dealt with my complaint alleging that Media Watch had breached the ABC’s editorial standards of accuracy.

Emboldened by his reelection with 70% of the vote, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio brazenly mocked Islamic terrorists calling the recent attack that killed eight people "feeble. There are more than eight million New Yorkers. It would take more than million attacks of the magnitude of that launched by Mr. Saipov to kill us all. Besides, five of the eight he killed were Argentinians—not New Yorkers, per se." "New Yorkers are resilient," the Mayor continued. "Common criminals murder 300 people a year in our city, but our citizens don't quake in fear because they know their government is...

If we want to defeat or change those who are wickedly determined to take the lives of other human beings unjustly, it should go without saying that we must look far beyond the killers’ chosen instrument of death. This is why the pro-life community doesn’t put any effort into attempting to ban suction curettes or forceps—which have killed far more people in the U.S. than have guns. Nevertheless—and seemingly inevitably—whenever a mass murderer goes on a killing spree in the U.S., those who are terrified of the notion of absolute truth (who are determined to rule their own world)—and especially...

“Let Us Go to the House of the LORD!” (Psalm 122:1) You may notice that we still have the white paraments up from last week, when we observed All Saints’ Day. That’s because today we’re doing a kind of “All Saints’ Day, Part Two.” Last week we remembered those from our midst who entered the Church Triumphant over the past twelve months: Homer and Dorothy Rouggly, Bob and Dottie Worsham. This week, today, we’re remembering other departed saints from our midst, whom we commemorated at the start of the service with a plaque at the entrance to our church. The...

  • Christmas Eve the Italian way means fish, fish and more fish

The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian-American tradition to ring in Christmas Eve, when Roman Catholics celebrate the midnight birth of Jesus, known in Italian as "La Viglia." Fish is a traditional ingredient in the Christmas Eve dinner because custom calls for the eschewing of red meat leading up to the holiday. The Culinary Institute of America has provided a recipe to celebrate this tradition. For a holiday so widely celebrated, the traditions surrounding Christmas are as unique as the ornaments that decorate your tree. From decor, songs, stories and gifts, Christmas looks a little bit different in...

An open lecture at Scripp’s College in Southern California ignited a firestorm of anti-Muslim sentiment last month when a group in the audience challenged the lecturer about his views on Islamic terrorism and President Trump’s immigration policies. Hussam Ayloush, Executive Director of the Los Angeles chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA), addressed the Scripps’ audience on the subject of American-Islamic Relations and xenophobic rhetoric in the wake of the 2016 presidential election. The lecture, titled, “Muslims Not Welcome: The Political Ramifications of Islamophobia,” came as part of the school’s Tuesday Noon Academy speaker series held in conjunction with...

The man behind a website to help Muslim men find 'second wives' has insisted the service can 'empower' women. Azad Chaiwala, from Sunderland, set up SecondWife.com, for the 'small section' of Muslims who are looking to have multiple wives. Appearing on ITV's This Morning, Mr Chaiwala said his website would discourage women from being mistresses and instead 'empower' them by legitimising the relationship in a way that allows it to be regarded as more than just an affair. Viewers were shocked by Azed's beliefs, saying he was using the website to justify cheating. One tweeted: 'He says it empowers women......

New York City attack suspect Sayfullo Saipov professed himself “pleased with the outcome of my holy jihad against the unbelievers. I could have slain more if it hadn’t been for the interference of the bus and getting shot by the police, but eight is a respectable count. Luckily, one of those I killed was a Jew. I will get extra benefits in paradise for that. If every Muslim could slay as many unbelievers as I have all religions except for Islam would be erased from the Earth.” John Miller, deputy New York police commissioner for intelligence, said “Saipov appears to...

From the anguish, heartbreak and tears of Sutherland’s First Baptist Church comes an “AMEN!” that transcends everything else being said in the aftermath of the most deadly massacre in a U.S. House of Worship.

Another horrible shooting has the Left talking about gun control, as if people already in violation of tons of other laws would be dissuaded by one more. So the Right responds by focusing on the Second Amendment, which is certainly legitimate and relevant, as it was intended to protect the American people from all manner of assaults, whether from a mugger in an alley, a street gang in the neighborhood, an enemy abroad, or a tyrant in our own capitol.. ...but we often forget the relevance of another Amendment, the First, which is increasingly under assault, particularly in the context...

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lambasted President Donald Trump for his “lack of empathy” following the New York City terror attack that killed eight people. “Calling the unfortunate man who was driven to make this attack an ‘animal’ and demanding he face the death penalty was so cruel and callous,” the former Secretary of State asserted. “Where was the sympathy for a man wrested from his native Uzbekistan and thrust into an America teeming with the unbelievers that his faith commands him to kill?” She went on to contrast “Trump’s bloodthirsty desire for vengeance with the kindness and compassion shown...

To defeat Islamic terrorism, Western societies must rid counter-terrorism of the "lone wolf" mentality; acknowledge the inherently non-compromising nature of Islamic terrorism and confront Islamic rogue regimes militarily, not diplomatically Wake up America, Islamic terrorism targets you! The claim that the perpetrator of the November 1, 2017 NYC bicycle-path-terror is a “lone wolf” ignores the wider context of Islamic terrorism, oversimplifies and underestimates the threat, alleviates the pressure off anti-US Islamic rogue regimes, and derails counter-terrorism. The NYC bicycle-path-terror was carried out by a member of the Islamic “pack of wolves” - not by a “lone wolf”—which has been systematically...

“Who Are These, Clothed in White Robes?” (Revelation 7:9-17) Today, on this first Sunday in November, we observe All Saints’ Day. On All Saints’ Day, we rejoice that we are part of that great communion of saints that is the church of Christ, both the church on earth and the church in heaven. All the saints, all those made holy by the blood of Christ. Saints, holy ones, set apart to belong to God alone. All saints, all of us who have been baptized into Christ and clothed with his righteousness. On All Saints’ Day we commemorate the faithful departed,...
