Danilo Lopez will be allowed to stay in the country, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says. Lopez, a Vermont migrant-worker-turned-activist from Mexico, advocated for a new law allowing people without legal status to get drivers' licenses. Lopez was scheduled to be deported on July 5. In 2011, Lopez was traveling in a friend’s car when a police officer pulled them over for speeding. Lopez was turned over to Border Patrol, detained and released. Since then, he’s helped Vermont’s migrant worker community get access to driver's licenses. Earlier this year, Lopez said that the campaign for driver's licenses is really...

The day after the George Zimmerman verdict was announced, I was at the supermarket. As always, Americans of all races went about their business. An elderly Asian lady got help from a tall Caucasian kid reaching an item on an upper shelf. A black cashier shared a joke with a white customer. A manager who might be Hispanic helped a patron of indeterminate ethnicity with a return. All was calm and composed. Let's call that supermarket America. There's another America that exists on the TV, radio and the cell phone screen. There, the race baiters, provocateurs, rumormongers, and ratings-mad self-promoters...

BLUFFDALE — More than 100 people gathered Thursday at Utah Veterans Memorial Park to support the cause of Restore the Fourth, a national group demanding an end to what its members say is unconstitutional government surveillance. Dan Garfield, a Saratoga Springs resident and Restore the Fourth supporter, said he believes the rally for Fourth Amendment rights was fitting for the Fourth of July because veterans have fought and died to maintain American rights. "We feel like the government has overstepped its bounds and gone contrary to what the Fourth Amendment stands for," he said. Garfield said the rally was initially...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: The media is sorta unbalanced today. They are panicking that the prosecution of George Zimmerman is imploding. The media is totally invested in George Zimmerman being convicted as a racist "white Hispanic." They are totally invested, and it looks like the prosecution's case is just imploding -- and, as such, there's panic now. So much so, ladies and gentlemen, so much so that there is now talk and agitating for race riots. Grab audio sound bite number 12. This is last night on ABC News Nightline. The anchor, Dan Abrams, is interviewing Sanford, Florida, police chief Cecil...

wset.images.worldnow.comFrom: VCDL President SIGNS? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' SIGNS! ER, WELL, OK, MAYBE WE DO On Wednesday I surveyed VCDL's inventory of signs from previous events, but found that I didn't have any applicable signs here in Richmond for the Bloomberg Tyranny Tour (BTT). I got in my car and began my drive up to Roanoke for my talk at the Roanoke City Republican Committee meeting. On the ride up I called EM John Wilburn in Blacksburg to ask him if he could help me with signs for Friday. John jumped into action with member Sheila Rigney and they...

Capitol Hill police are trying to block activists attending Wednesday's "Audit the IRS" rally from also attending a nearly day-long press conference on immigration, hosted by Reps. Steve King and Louie Gohmert. The IRS rally is on the west side of the Capitol, while the immigration event is on the east side. Organizers for the IRS event were told by Hill police that "your people" can only assemble on the west side. Organizers were told to remove the activists from the immigration event. Capitol Hill police left a voicemail for Kevin Mooneyhan, Deputy Executive Director of Tea Party Patriots, saying...
