At Richmond International Raceway, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin likened the last three weeks of the presidential race to last month's close finish at the raceway in the Chevy Rock & Roll 400. There were shouts of "Nobama" and "Socialist" at the mention of the Democratic presidential nominee. There were boos, middle fingers turned up and thumbs turned down as a media caravan moved through the crowd Thursday for a midday town hall gathering featuring John McCain and Sarah Palin.

I went to the McCain Rally in La Crosse, Wisc. It was a lot of fun. Local candidates were there, as well as Tommy Thompson. There were about 5,000 people in the La Crosse Center, which is about what it holds for these type of rallies. Lots of enthusiasm from the crowd and McCain was fired up, as well.
