The medical examiner has released the autopsy for a man shot and killed by a Tulsa County reserve deputy. Eric Courtney Harris' death is ruled a homicide by gunshot wound, the report states. Harris, 44, died April 2, 2015, after Reserve Deputy Bob Bates said he accidentally fired his gun instead of his Taser during an arrest. The report states Harris was shot in the right axilla or armpit. The bullet passed through his right rib cage to his left, fracturing ribs on both sides. Both lungs collapsed, the medical examiner's report states.

Officer Matt Kenny of the Madison Police Department will not face charges in the March shooting death of biracial teen Tony Robinson, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne said Tuesday. "I conclude that this tragic and unfortunate death was the result of a lawful use of deadly police force and that no charges should be brought against Officer Kenny in the death of Tony Robinson Jr.," he said.

Two deputies from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office encountered the man at the rear of his mobile home in Hollywood, South Carolina, after two other men fled on bicycles, Sheriff's Maj. An NYPD cop was shot in the head and chest and critically wounded in Queens on Saturday. The anti-crime officer worked out of the 105th Precinct in Queens Village and was on duty when he was hit at around 6:15 p.m. It was not clear whether he was in uniform – anti-crime officers often do plainclothes patrols. Dash cam video of a traffic stop provided the world with another piece of evidence Thursday in a fatal police shooting. It showed no indication of any physical or verbal threats before the driver bolts and the officer chases after him. The video, released Thursday by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, shows what begins as a seemingly routine stop for a broken tail light. The officer, Michael Slager, approaches the used Mercedes-Benz driven by Walter Lamer Scott, and asks for license and registration. There's a brief exchange, and the officer returns to his cruiser. Scott then takes off running.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office found drugs, guns and bullets in the vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Algiers man who was shot and killed by deputies on Monday in Algiers. Desmond Willis was killed during a shootout on Manhattan Boulevard in Harvey. The shooting came as officers tried to arrest him following a traffic stop.
