Jean-Claude Juncker has vowed that no matter how bad terrorism or the migrant crisis gets, the European Union (EU) will never give up on open borders. The European Commission president said terrorism could be countered with better intelligence-sharing between member states. On France 2’s Four Truths programme this morning, Mr. Juncker said “a lot of initiatives” will be required to strengthen security in the EU. After a bloody month for Europe in which the continent has seen multiple Islamic terror attacks — four in the last week in Germany alone — the EU president insisted better communication between member states...

Do we really need that wall and do you still plan on locking your doors tonight? Do you lock your doors at night? If you answered yes to this question, then tell me why? Do you lock them in order to keep out those you don’t know or those who might intend you harm? Do you lock them so strangers cannot enter your house at anytime of day or night? Do locked doors give you a feeling of security? Do you feel locking your doors will keep you and your family safe? Donald Trump promised to build a wall to...

Ted Cruz is expected to use his speech Wednesday night in Cleveland to tee up a future presidential bid.. Mr. Cruz blamed his defeat principally on the media, which “liked to paint me as some whacked-out theocrat” and putatively gave Donald Trump $3 billion in free publicity... Fact check: Mr. Cruz won the Wisconsin primary in early April with the help of the so-called establishment that he loves to hate... in the preceding primaries, Mr. Cruz had gone one for 10.. After winning Wisconsin, Mr. Cruz went on a six-state losing streak in the Northeast...

President Obama addressed diplomats at a reception Friday, the day after a jihadist killed 84 people in France, and said the United Nations’ plan for sustainable development and global unity is all that’s needed to defeat the terrorists. Obama called for “a new sustainable development set of goals to end extreme poverty and promote health and education and equality for all people, including women.” That was a direct reference to the U.N.’s new “2030 Agenda,” in which the new sustainable development goals or SDGs are being promoted as the answer to all of mankind’s problems — including the eradication of...

Trump-resistant and election battling Republicans including two former Presidents, two former Republican nominees, and several former 2016 presidential hopefuls are offering up excuses for why they will not attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week, notably among them a break with a history of former Presidents attending their party’s convention. Here are ten of the most prominent Republicans who say they’ll skip out on the convention and a few more who will or maybe won’t.

A study released by the Pew Research Center on Monday shows a startling development in European attitudes towards Middle Eastern refugees. In eight of the ten countries surveyed, majorities of citizens polled believe incoming refugees increase the likelihood of terrorism at home. Respondents in Hungary, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Greece, and the United Kingdom all responded that they believe incoming refugees increase the risk of terrorism. Respondents in Hungary are most likely (at 76 percent) to believe incoming refugees increase the risk of terrorism, while respondents in Spain are the least likely to believe incoming refugees increase the likelihood of terrorism (at 40...

President Hillary and her liberal activist courts will ensure Democrat rule over America for generations by awarding amnesty and citizenship to tens of millions of illegal aliens, er, undocumented citizens, and they'll throw open our borders to flood the country with tens of millions more. And they'll set up government programs to help them sign-up for welfare, food stamps, free housing, free phones, free healthcare and even help them register to vote as democrats. Republicans will be wandering in the wilderness for the next 40 years and more. Don't let it happen. Vote Trump!

Crime went up in California in 2015, with year-to-year jumps not only in murders, robberies and car thefts but also in hate crimes against Muslims and assaults against police officers, according to statistics released Friday by Attorney General Kamala Harris.

Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin endorsed the reelection bids of Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Ron DeSantis in two key races in Florida. A recent critic of Sen. Rubio during his failed bid for the Republican nomination, Mr. Levin now says “Rubio has a solid record” and echoed the praises from Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a former presidential rival who also endorsed Rubio’s bid for reelection. “I support Senator Marco Rubio for reelection to the U.S. Senate as well,” he wrote. “The Senator has reversed his position on whether or not to run again, and I see his change...

The Supreme Court on Thursday blocked President Obama’s immigration executive actions, in a tie decision that delivers a win to states challenging his plan to give a deportation reprieve to millions of illegal immigrants. The justices' one-sentence opinion on Thursday marks a major setback for the administration, effectively killing the plan for the duration of Obama's presidency. The judgment could have significant political and legal consequences in a presidential election year highlighted by competing rhetoric over immigration. As the ruling was announced from the bench, pro-immigration activists filled the sidewalk in front of the court, some crying as the ruling...

At the outset of his administration, President Bill Clinton famously declared that “the era of big government is over.” He then did everything in his power to prove that to be yet another of his slick lies. At the outset of her administration, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a one-time East German “communist youth leader,” famously declared that “multiculturalism has been a failure.” She then did everything in her power to prove what a Big Lie that was, most notoriously by inviting millions of Third World, Muslim immigrants (mostly young men) into her country, lavishly subsidizing them, giving them sex education...

Mitt Romney, the twice-failed Republican candidate for president, has kicked off a weekend convention of fellow-minded “NeverTrump-ers,” hosting a retreat at a secluded Utah spot so they can gather and talk without worry of media coverage and condemnation about how they should proceed politically, if the billionaire businessman wins the White House. It’s called the “Experts and Enthusiasts Summit,” or “E2” summit, and it’s set at the Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley in Park City, the Washington Post reported. Reportedly, those in attendance will talk about their plans to take down Trump with a third-party candidate. Such talk was going...

Does Donald Trump really want to be president? Ask me a couple of weeks ago, when he was riding high, closing in the polls, and I would have rolled my eyes in disbelief at the question. Now I'm not so sure. I wrote long ago the presidency was Trump's to lose. I meant it then and I mean it now—only Trump can bring down Trump. Unfortunately, he's doing it. His signal-to-noise problem is getting the better of him. He doesn't know where to pick a fight, so he's doing it everywhere. And it's hard to believe he's doing it when...

Michael Reagan — the son of former president and Republican icon Ronald Reagan — said he would not be voting for Donald Trump during California's GOP primary on Tuesday. And his late father probably wouldn't, either. “I will not be Voting for Trump tomorrow in the Calif.Primary,” Reagan tweeted Monday at Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.

Professional Republicans in the #NeverTrump movement continue to oppose the presumptive nominee selected by the GOP electorate and are now floating strategies to throw the election to Hillary Clinton. However, an examination of Clinton’s campaign promises reveals that Republicans who are willing to thwart Trump in favor of Clinton will be complicit in electing a President who would seek to bring about the complete and, possibly irreversible, dissolution of our nation’s borders. A review of Clinton’s stated positions on the issue suggests she is perhaps the most extreme candidate on immigration ever to run for the office of the U.S....
