One man spent his free time writing frightening, NRA-loving, hate-filled screeds on Facebook about the other’s religion. The other man quietly stewed and brewed his bigotry, collecting the kind of arsenal that the Facebook poster would have envied. What they didn’t realize is that except for their different religions they were in many ways similar men who even had the same job.

On the front page of the New York tabloid is a large photo of Syed Farook, one of the two dead suspects believed to have carried out the shooting rampage at a holiday party at the Inland Regional Center that killed 14 people and injured at least 21 others. The headline reads, "HE'S A TERRORIST." But the News, which frequently crusades on the gun-control issue, also had a fierce jab at the National Rifle Association. And then there's this sub-headline:

In other words, yeah, ok, Syed Rizwan Farook was a terrorist. But hey, so also are a bunch of non-Muslim white guys, including the head of the NRA. Disgusting.
