This landed in my inbox a few hours ago from the ‘New Hampshire for Scott Brown’ press team (emphasis mine): Today, Scott Brown received the endorsement of the former Democratic Leader of the New Hampshire State Senate, Bob Preston. Preston, who served nine terms as a State Senator including eight years as Democratic leader, penned the following open letter encouraging voters to support Scott Brown next Tuesday:
-
United States Senate For the third straight week, the US Senate race in New Hampshire is statistically a dead heat. According to Lesperance, “This week Republican Scott Brown leads Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen 48% to 46.9%. However, this is well within the 2.98% margin of error. So the Senate race is just too close to call.” 2.8% of respondents would prefer another candidate and 2.3% are unsure.

While New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District went for Obama twice, State Rep. Marilinda Garcia is up 4 points–41/37 (with leaners)–in a new Granite State poll from the University of New Hampshire. Still, 19 percent are undecided so there’s room for both sides to maneuver and grow as the election heads into the final stretch. Needless to say, the Kuster camp fired off this fundraising email upon hearing the news: Last night we got the results of the latest poll in our race. It shows that our opponent’s puppet masters’ - the Koch brothers - attack ads are working. Their relentless...

We’ve seen three public polls of New Hampshire’s Senate race since July. WMUR put incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen up by 2; YouGov put her up by 6. And now: BREAKING: New CNN-ORC poll in #NHSen race. @SenScottBrown: 48%, @SenatorShaheen: 48%, +/- 3.5%. 5:38 AM - 15 Sep 2014 Think about it, New Hampshire. You have the power in your hands… to make a Princeton professor eat a bug:

Scott Brown, the former senator from Massachusetts who moved to New Hampshire to run in a more friendly environment, appears to be in a dead heat with Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, a new poll shows. A CNN/ORC International poll out Monday finds Shaheen and Brown tied among likely voters, with both obtaining the support of 48% among 735 voters surveyed. A close race could mean bad news for Democrats, who are struggling to maintain control of the Senate. Keeping the seat in the Democratic column is crucial if the party want to maintain a slim majority in the Senate.

Republican Scott Brown has closed a 12-point gap in the monthly WMUR/Granite State poll, and has pulled into a statistical dead heat with incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen for the New Hampshire US Senate seat. Shaheen leads Brown 46 percent to 44 percent...

Scott Brown's campaign manager has fired off a memo "to interested parties" on what Eric Cantor's primary loss in Virginia means for the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire. Colin Reed says the Cantor upset by a Tea Party surging candidate "contains worrisome lessons for Senator Jeanne Shaheen." Here are Reed's five points, verbatim, from his memo: 1. Supporting President Obama's Immigration Policies Is A Liability There is a crisis building on the southern border right now, with large numbers of young people seeking to enter the country illegally, encouraged by the pro-amnesty policies of President Obama and Senator Shaheen....

Democrats have called Scott Brown a carpetbagger and suggested the former Massachusetts senator is going to stick out in New Hampshire like a flamingo in the White Mountains. But the unusual demographics of this state might blunt that attack and help Brown resurrect his political fortunes on fresh territory. Contrary to the popular stereotype of the New Hampshire voter as a flinty, 10th-generation farmer who traces his roots to a soldier in the Continental Army, about two-thirds of New Hampshire adults were born in another state — and a quarter of them were born in Massachusetts. Even in an era...

Republican Scott Brown leads incumbent Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire by five points in a recent poll obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD. The poll, commissioned by the Republican Governor's Association, was conducted on March 19 and 20 and asked 600 likely voters in New Hampshire who they would vote for in the U.S. Senate election. Respondents were given both Brown and Shaheen's names and their respective parties.

Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown announced Friday that he is laying the groundwork for a possible challenge against incumbent Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire, but Shaheen is comfortably ahead of Brown for now in Rasmussen Reports’ first look at the possible U.S. Senate race in the Granite State. A new statewide survey of Likely New Hampshire Voters finds Shaheen with 50% support to Brown’s 41%. Four percent (4%) like some other candidate in the race, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown on Friday will announce he is launching an exploratory committee for a run for the New Hampshire U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. A source close to Brown confirmed the announcement is at hand, and said it will be made in Nashua, where the state Republican Party will begin its two-day Northeast Republican Leadership Conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Brown has been flirting with a Senate run in the Granite State for the better part of a year and recently moved full-time to what had been his vacation home in Rye and...

CONCORD — The issue of background checks for firearm purchases will come back to the House after a committee voted Thursday to establish a study commission on gun violence and background checks. Last week, the House voted 242-118 after a lengthy debate to kill House Bill 1589, which would have required background checks for all commercial gun sales, including those at gun shows and flea markets. The bill was opposed by 2nd amendment activists and gun owner groups, who said it infringed on constitutional rights and prohibited any gun transactions between family and friends. During the debate, opponents of the...

Looks like he is running. Typing in 'Scott Brown for Senate' gives a #1 Google result entitled just that, and it links to this website http://www.scottbrown.com/ So, the race is on in New Hampshire, since Shaheen has been running scared from two dangerous polls that show her in deep trouble against Brown. Personally, I don't like him, I don't trust him, and I probably wouldn't vote for him if I lived in NH... but Shaheen is just so damn unlikable. The woman looks like the kind of grandmother who'd give crappy presents. I admit it would be nice to see...

GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) on Sunday urged House Republicans to take up immigration reform, despite a “trust deficit” with President Obama. “Here’s the deal: The status quo is totally unacceptable,” she said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” with Bob Schieffer. “I think we should solve this. I think [Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio)] can find a way forward. Certainly, the bill that came out of the Senate was not perfect, but it was a good solution to a hard problem,” Ayotte continued. “I think it’s an important issue to solve – not only for the country, but for the Republican...

The Republican National Committee began running ads in 40 media markets Tuesday mostly targeting incumbent senators who supported President Barack Obama’s health care program. Billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, meanwhile, gave $2.5 million to help Democrats defend their majority in the Senate. The early action suggests Republicans see the president’s signature domestic achievement as their way to keep control of the House and perhaps win the Senate. With more than 300 days remaining before Election Day, both sides are looking to set the agenda before voters start paying attention. “Obamacare is going to be the issue in 2014,”...

Former New Hampshire Republican senator Bob Smith said he has changed his mind and will try to defeat Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen for his old seat next year. Smith told WMUR Political Scoop on Sunday that he had made a decision not to run largely to get out of the way for other candidates, but as weeks came and went no major candidates got into the race, and he kept getting encouragement to run. "I have a decision to run again for the Senate," said Smith. "This is nothing personally against Jeanne Shaheen, who I like as a person, but...
