The last week has been a tough one for Hillary Clinton. Last Friday's announcement by FBI Director James Comey that emails considered “pertinent” to the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server had been discovered accelerated a bump in Donald Trump's poll numbers that had begun before that news hit. National polling was the first to tighten — the WaPo-ABC Tracking Poll showed the Democratic presidential candidate up three points on Friday — but swing-state polling has followed suit. CNN, as of Friday morning, even had Clinton below 270 electoral votes for the first time in a long...

Washington (CNN) — Donald Trump's path to 270 electoral votes remains precarious -- but with some breaks, he can get there. Trump's campaign has made clear exactly what its targets are. It is spending $25 million on TV ads in the final week of the campaign in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Virginia, Nevada and New Hampshire. Those ad buys are based on the assumption that Trump doesn't need extra help to keep Arizona, Georgia, Utah, Texas or any other traditionally red state in the Republican column. Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of North Carolina’s GOP, argued Republicans in his state don't have a "suppression vote problem" but Clinton’s supporters “have a depression problem." "The Democrats have a depression problem. You know why? It’s very simple. Their candidate, if elected, could have these on election day," he said, holding up the handcuffs. “Hillary Clinton inauguration jewelry,” Woodhouse added. “Is this the kind of rhetoric you want to be seeing five days...
