Scott made the remarks on Fox & Friends while discussing “Homeland” star Mandy Patinkin, who admitted that the show made a deliberate effort to portray white men as the bad guys in season 6. Palm Sunday, which starts the holy week of Easter—two Christian churches were bombed during mass in Egypt, leaving at least 50 worshippers dead and nearly 130 injured and/or mutilated (graphic images/video of aftermath here).    Less than four months earlier, around Christmas, another Christian church was bombed in Egypt, leaving 27 worshippers—mostly women and children—dead and wounding nearly 70.  On New Year’s Day, 2011, yet another Egyptian church was bombed, leaving 23 worshippers dead.  In 2013, almost 70 Christian churches in Egypt were attacked, many burned to the ground, by Muslim Brotherhood supports. 

Homeland star Mandy Patinkin says this season of the acclaimed Showtime television drama shows that it is perhaps “the white men in government and the military establishment that are the bad guys,” rather than the Muslim community. In an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd this week, Patinkin said that society had “chosen the Muslim community” as a threat, despite the community making “contributions to the world of a monumental nature.” Patinkin also said the show, which has been criticized by the left as “Islamophobic” for linking Islam with terrorism, has taken responsibility for this portrayal and has changed its content...

The UC Davis student senate has made it optional to display the American flag at its meetings, stirring up controversy on campus and conservative blogs. Senate Bill 76 passed Thursday, said Michael Gofman, a student senator who opposed the change. The bill amends bylaws that required the United States flag to be on display at every senate meeting of the Associated Students, University of California, Davis.

(CNN)The death toll from a bomb attack targeting evacuees leaving besieged Syrian towns has risen to 126, a monitoring group said Sunday. The blast hit a convoy of buses Saturday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which reported the higher death toll. The blast struck buses of people leaving their towns as part of a rebel-regime swap. At least 109 of those killed were evacuees from the pro-regime Shia villages of Al-Fu’ah and Kafraya while the rest were aid workers and rebels guarding the convoy, according to the Syrian Observatory. At least 68 children were among those killed...

The influx of large contingents of these people creates extra demand for housing and welfare. Noted liberal Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe claimed without evidence in a series of tweets Thursday that a recently deceased New York judge was the victim of a racist murder. Police at the University of Texas at Dallas say they're searching for the person who dumped several copies of the Quran in campus toilets. They call the incident "shocking" and "unusual." A student recently discovered the books inside a bathroom at the university's Student Union building. After snapping some pictures to document the apparent anti-Muslim act, he immediately reported it to campus security, which got police involved.

Minneapolis police received reports in February from concerned residents who saw Rashid in a dark green uniform that said “Muslim Defense Force” and “Religious Police” and had two flags associated with ISIS and other terrorist groups. . . .
