THE HEALTH REPORT: President Obama is scheduled to give two interviews Wednesday afternoon as the Senate continues to work its way toward a final health care vote scheduled for Thursday. The first interview, at 1:45 p.m. in the Oval Office, will be with two National Public Radio reporters: Julie Rovner, a health policy correspondent, and Robert Siegel, the host of "All Things Considered." They will focus on health care, NPR says. The second interview will be with PBS's Jim Lehrer, at 2:15 p.m. in the Map Room. PBS says the questions will be on "the health reform push and more."

A statue of President Obama as a youngster has been raised in Indonesia, one of the places the president lived as a boy. The future president is depicted wearing shorts and a T-shirt, with what appears to be a medal around his neck and a butterfly on one thumb. According to the Associated Press and Indonesian news sources, the statue, which is located in the nation’s capital of Jakarta, is meant to inspire children in Indonesia. Mr. Obama lived in the country for around four years as a child, after his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, married an Indonesian, Lolo Soetoro.
