ZERO minus for all three cable news networks, FNC, CNN & MSNBC last evening for their unacceptable delivery of the news and real impact of the election results received last evening. If I had my way......I would immediately fire at least 90% of these buffoons that act like they know something....they actually know and understand nothing. Without a long winded discourse....allow me to give you folks, the absolute worst and best, and, the rest all fall in between. Worst Ever: Chris Matthews, MSNBC.....Best Ever: John King, CNN!!! FNC: not worth rating (horrible)!!! These folks have nary a clue as to...

Chris Matthews at Center of NBC’s Latest News Scandal MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews isn’t much for keeping his promises of transparency when it involves political contributions to his wife’s congressional campaign. Last June, the blabbermouth commentator insisted on his show that he would be “transparent and fair in our coverage” after his wife, Kathleen, announced that she was running as a Democrat for the open seat in Maryland’s 8th District. Since then, Kathleen Matthews, a former news anchor and Marriott exec, has received a total of $79,050 in campaign contributions from prominent former and current politicians featured on her...

Hillary Clinton apologized on Friday for calling the late Nancy Reagan a "very effective, low-key" advocate on AIDS/HIV, saying she "misspoke" in an interview with MSNBC. ... Many in the gay community have criticized Reagan for not doing more to respond to the AIDS outbreak during his presidency. Chad Griffin, the president of the Human Rights Campaign and a former Clinton White House aide, knocked the Clinton.... ....Clinton soon after tweeted an apology....

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Hillary Clinton in 2016 “can’t match” President Barack Obama’s oratory skills that gave him the “thrill up the leg” in 2008. During “Hardball” on Thursday night, Matthews said, “I think Obama was so exciting. I think, you know, I was the thrill up the leg, and I admitted I was overwhelmed by his speeches because I’d go to all these rooms with 200 people in it and I had never heard anybody speak like Obama.” According to Matthews, Obama’s “presidency obviously couldn’t live up to that level. It couldn’t. It was so stellar, the excitement in...

Kathleen Matthews, who is running for a seat in the House of Representatives in Maryland and is the wife of MSNBC host Chris Matthews, is drawing heavy support from donors who have contributed to Hillary Clinton. . . Tim Graham, director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, says Chris Matthews would be better off recusing himself from presidential coverage, citing the precedent of an NPR employee who did the same when her husband was working on Obama’s reelection campaign. . . None of the individuals who donated to both Clinton and Matthews responded to requests for comment by...

Donald Trump bragged about his wine, his water and his steaks during his “Super Tuesday 2” primary night news conference. Based on early ratings data from Nielsen, he can add another feather to his cap: his ratings. Trump’s presser dominated cable news coverage on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC during the 9 p.m. hour, and the ratings reflect that. All told, an average of 8.8 million viewers were watching one of those three channels during the 9 p.m. hour. Compare that to an average of 7.4 million people watching during the 8 p.m. hour and 7.3 million people watching during...

On Thursday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) had an interview abruptly ended by co-host Mika Brzezinski when he declined to answer a question about how he thought Muslims in his state felt about America. The questioned asked by co-host Joe Scarborough, in reference a statement Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump made on CNN a night earlier claiming he thought Islam hated us and was at war with the West.

As Don Imus might say, there was a "tension convention" on the set of today''s Morning Joe. Joe Scarborough and Nicolle Wallace got into it over Marco Rubio's future. Scarborough repeatedly argued that Rubio should get out before the Florida primary, or risk ruining his political future. Wallace made the case that Rubio has the right to remain in as much as Kasich, both their strategies being to survive to a hopefully brokered convention. Scarborough would surely say his was simply the voice of political reason. But watch the clip, and see if there isn't something more at work. As...

After Sunday night’s CNN Democratic debate, MSNBC reporter Kristen Welker either could not or did not hear studio anchor Ari Melber telling her she was live and on the air. Unbeknownst to Welker, her mic was on, which allowed the entire broadcast audience to hear Welker feeding questions to Jen Palmieri, Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Director of Communication.
-
On Sunday night, after the debate between Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), MSNBC inadvertently aired footage of NBC journalist Kristen Welker telling Clinton communications director Jen Palmieri exactly what question she was planning to ask in an imminent live interview.
-
MSNBC had an awkward moment while trying to conduct a post-debate interview Sunday night, as reporter Kristen Welker appeared not to know she was live and told a Hillary Clinton aide what she would be asking her during their segment. She then interrupted the guest, Jen Palmieri, when she heard a delayed prompt from the studio. Ari Melber threw to Welker to speak with Palmieri, a flack for Hillary Clinton, but Welker was in mid-conversation with Palmieri and was telling her she would ask a question about Flint, Michigan, the site of Sunday night’s debate, because of the water crisis...

On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough ridiculed his employer, MSNBC, for "bowing and scraping" to then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008. Along the way, he did an hilarious impression of Keith Olbermann's faux-Churchillian tones, seeing racism on the rise whenever Hillary won a primary, and "calling George W. Bush a Nazi every day." Scarborough's comments came in the course of discussing the way that, according to Joe, Fox News has shifted its favor from Marco Rubio to Donald Trump. Scarborough found that shocking, "because, my God, I've never seen a candidate treated better by any network, well, other than MSNBC bowing...

MSNBC's facelift over the past two years has cut the airtime of some of its most prominent minority personalities - and it is starting to be noticed. The National Association of Black Journalists expressed concerns about MSNBC's record in the wake of the noisy exit of weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry. The network said Thursday that it is proud of its diversity effort and noted that people of all ethnicities have seen their roles reduced or eliminated as part of a transition to more breaking news coverage. Harris-Perry, who is black, had been proud of bringing new voices to television on...

Journalist Melissa Harris-Perry of MSNBC has made no fans in the pro-life movement, but her network has had enough of her, too. The Daily Caller reports that Harris-Perry grew very angry about her show being pre-empted by election coverage, resulting in her lashing out. She announced that her lack of airtime made her feel “worthless,” and led her to start boycotting her own show. This did not earn her much sympathy from the network. Reconciliation between Harris-Perry and the network is now impossible, and they are only discussing severance, according to the report. In regard to her treatment by MSNBC...

Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson...made history today with his comments on Justice Clarence Thomas. He’s just lucky he was on Martin Bashir’s show and so no one was watching:
-
We try to stay out of the muck here on the Spectacle Blog, but it’s Friday, and this one was too outrageous to ignore. MSNBC contributor Michael Eric Dyson made a comment yesterday that should have fueled mass outrage. After Clarence Thomas voted with the majority to strike down the section of the Voting Rights Act requiring certain jurisdictions to receive pre-clearance before making any changes to voting laws, Dyson said of Thomas: “A symbolic Jew has invited a metaphoric Hitler to commit holocaust and genocide upon his own people.”

MSNBC goes to a video out at one of his rally's expecting to go to someone slamming Trump. Backfired totally when the link goes to a black man deriding David Duke, racism, etc. Totally caught with egg on face, as they were not expecting a black man to downplay the whole BS issue.

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry, whose show airs on weekends, has been officially declared persona non grata at the liberal news network. Perry, who felt that her show's editorial control was taken away, coupled with the allegation that she was being shut out of the 2016 election coverage; publicly aired her grievances in an email to her staff that was published on Medium. The New York Times pick it up, where she clarified that she doesn't know if there was untying racial at the heart of her dispute with executives; that email to her staff contained racially charged rhetoric. With this little war...
