Mr Matthews interview of Bishop Tobin on the Kennedy matter was utterly unbelieveable. He was actually preaching to the Bishop. Now this with comments about Cheney. He has Jumped the Shark in terms of any ability to speak cohernently on any meaningful matters.

I think it would work. We should obliterate that entire area - wipe them out on their way back into Pakistan or on their way out - who cares what direction they’re going? That will assure they won’t be coming back. I know it’s a heck of a long border but why wouldn’t it work? Why can’t it be done from the air as it was in Bosnia? Ours and allied troops can’t go there in the winter and we don’t want to send them to be slaughtered anyway. It’s going to be months before 0’s plan is put into effect. Probably 6-8 months to get our guys there, pull out in 18 months leaves 10 months to wrap it up - what a genius!! The caves on that border must be rocking in laughter.

Maybe if Comcast takes control they will discover they have losers in Matthews, Olbermann, Maddow and Schultz.

I guess I don't understand all the controversy about the “enemy camp” comment, since it is true. The cadets in the audience have chosen to sacrifice, struggle, sweat, and if necessary lay down their life for their country. Given zero's attitude, temperament, and record, I would definitely say he is among his enemy.

Every time his ugly puss shows up on my TV, he's also definitely in enemy territory.

Once it becomes impossible to cross from Pakistan back into Afghanistan, we should tell the Pakis that the terrorists on their side of the border are their problem, and they can deal with them, or not, as they see fit.

I said previously that “O” has not a clue about the history or traditions of the US or its national character, and his perception on West Point (one of the premier of not THE premier military academy on earth) further dramatizes this. “O” has a blind spot a mile wide when it comes to the actual and every-day AMERICA because he has swallowed the MSM and “old Europe” hatred for the U.S.

Number two:

Matthews cashed in his ‘news journalism’ credentials waaaayy back when he openly salivated over one Presidential candidate over and above another. Never mind which candidate Matthews permitted himself to become so idiotically, repeatedly and publically besotted with…. He broke the first and foremost rule of proper and respectable news reporting, sullied his own personal and professional persona and forfeited his status as objective observer the day he took his very public and biased stand on that one.

Chris looked at those facea and did not see adotrion for his messiah.

The rest of us looked at those faces and saw men and women who know this potus will order them to Afghanistan and for his “strategy” and under his “ROE”, they face their own deaths and those of the men and women under their command

Chris Matthews doesn’t really take any of this seriously. This is all a political board-game to him where the goal is to advance Liberalism. These Cadets are seeing the first 10 years of their careers being mapped out during Obama’s speech. This is serious business.

Does the ‘confidence-factor’ figure in here? Absolutely, but these cadets were cautioned beforehand to display the proper decorum. An outsider like Chris Matthews not going to be able to read much from watching their expressions because he doesn’t think like they do.

Didn't Matthews make out that Maj. Hassan, the Ft. Hood murderer, was some sort of victim?

Later and even more ridiculous after FOX News played Matthews’ initial comments on their air, Matthews comes back and mentions “that other network” aired his comments on the West Point Cadets and then proceeds to blame Bush and Cheney for his verbal foul-up.

And, I didn't see much excitement. But among the older people there, I saw, if not resentment, skepticism. I didn't see a lot of warmth in that crowd out there. The president chose to address tonight and I thought it was interesting. He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case.

It looks like to me that Mathews, for once, got it right. He said...

Sorry, my bad. It’s unfortunate that those phrases coming from the left no longer set off alarm bells like they used to. I bypassed that and automatically assumed the author was referring to the reaction as opposed to the ridiculous statement.

Of course he will say those divisive things. He feels that his idol didn't get the proper reception. Talk about a true lap dog.

If Obama wanted to give a speech in a friendly camp, he should go to Havana or Caracas.
