Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would shut down U.S. mosques he deems extremist in order to fight the Islamic State terror group. Trump's comments have been condemned by the The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which said that they are "un-American" and fly against freedom of religion. Trump told Fox Business' Stuart Varney in a Wednesday segment on Wednesday that is willing to follow the example set by other countries, such as the U.K., who have closed down certain terror-linked mosques and revoked passports in order to combat the threat of Islamic terrorism. "I would do that, absolutely, I...

The Obama Justice Department is suing an Illinois town for denying a rezoning application to convert an office building into an Islamic temple. Anywhere American law and Islamic law conflict, it’s American law that has to give way. Islamic supremacists and Muslim Brotherhood organizations like CAIR have once again called upon their running dogs at the Department of Justice, to impose the sharia and usurp American law for Islamic law. The DoJ has become the de facto legal arm of terror-tied Muslim Brotherhood groups in this country. What small town can go up against the U.S. government’s vast resources and...

We did it! We the people. President Obama pushed for it, then-Mayor of NYC Michael Bloomberg supported it, the media actively campaigned for it — the elites in their increasingly fragile ivory towers stumped for the mosque. But the people stood up and fought it and won. Hey Obama, YES. WE. CAN. ‘Ground Zero mosque’ officially scrapped ‘Market-maker’ skyscraper planned for controversial site The infamous “Ground Zero mosque” debate is officially over. A “market maker” 70-story skyscraper will soon break ground at lower Manhattan’s 45 Park Place, ending any possibility of resurrecting plans for the religious building. Imam Feisal Abdul...

The glass skyscraper, which has yet to break ground, will include at least 15 full-floor units of 3,200 to 3,700 square feet, and average prices higher than $3,000 a square foot, according to plans released to Bloomberg by the developer.”If El-Gamal hopes to snag $3,000 a square foot, there is...

The ceremonial opening of the Cathedral Mosque, near the city center, was overseen by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Foreign dignitaries also attended, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. With his speech broadcast live on state television, Putin said that the mosque was "worthy" of a multireligious Russian capital and that he hoped it would become a center of spirituality and education in Russia. Putin, who is stepping up military backing of the Syrian government, also used the mosque opening to push his anti-ISIS message. "We see what's happening in the Middle East, where terrorists from...

One of the biggest mosques in Russia will finally open in Moscow on Wednesday after a decade of construction work, with President Vladimir Putin and foreign dignitaries attending the ceremony. The new place of worship — built on the site of the city's original mosque — will be able to accommodate more than 10,000 people, about 10 times more than its predecessor, Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of Russia's Council of Muftis, told The Moscow Times on Tuesday. Moscow's new mosque will be on a par with two enormous mosques in Russia's North Caucasus region: the Heart of Chechnya in Grozny,...

The influential Saudi Binladin Group has been suspended by Saudi Arabia after one of its cranes at the Grand Mosque in Mecca collapsed last Friday, killing 107 and wounding 238 people at the holiest site in Islam which houses the Kaaba cube Muslims pray towards. Ironically the lethal crane collapse took place on September 11 amid high winds and a sandstorm; Binladin Group was founded in 1931 by the father of Osama bin Laden, the infamous late terror leader of Al Qaeda who conducted the 9/11 attacks against the US exactly 14 years earlier. Osama's brother Bakr runs the Binladin...

Proposed Mosque In Detroit Suburb Draws Sharp Opposition September 8, 2015 by Steve Friess STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. — The nation’s largest concentration of Iraqi Christians, many driven from their homeland by persecution at the hands of Muslim groups, is mounting an intensive campaign to block a proposed mosque in Sterling Heights, Michigan — sometimes by deploying public anti-Islam invective unusual in its bluntness even in this post-9/11 era. The 20,500-square-foot mosque, to be built on four acres by the American Islamic Community Center (AICC), is to stand 60 feet tall along a major thoroughfare in a middle-class neighborhood if the...

If it was good enough for Mohammed, why be surprised that it's also good enough for a Florida mosque. Helmi Agha, 40, was executive director of the American Muslim Youth Leadership Council when he was arrested in March and accused inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl who attended events at the center. He faced 12 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, though four of those have since been dropped. Agha, also known as Imam Abufarah, was born in Saudi Arabia to a Palestinian family and is not a U.S. citizen. When he was released on bond from Osceola County Jail, he...

MOLINE -- A police and FBI investigation continues into a broken-window incident at a Moline mosque earlier this week, authorities said Friday. A Chicago chapter of the Council in American-Islamic Relations -- CAIR -- asked Friday for it to be investigated as a hate crime. Moline Police Detective Scott Williams, public information officer, said police and mosque officials "have no reason to believe it's a hate crime, and believe damage was done by a rock, not a bullet, pellet, or other type of projectile. A police report lists it as "criminal damage to property."
