Mobile's bid to build refueling tankers for the U.S. Air Force is getting a push from U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who urged Pentagon officials in a recent letter to keep questions about a global trade dispute out of the tanker competition. The dispute, pending before the World Trade Organization, concerns the government subsidies that Boeing Co. and Airbus receive to develop commercial aircraft.
