A British magazine has issued an apology to first lady Melania Trump for an article it published last week which included several inaccuracies about her life and her family. Titled "The mystery of Melania," the story was written by American author Nina Burleigh for the magazine section of The Telegraph newspaper, and included portions that prompted Trump to demand the record be corrected. "We apologise unreservedly to The First Lady and her family for any embarrassment caused by our publication of these allegations," said part of the written apology issued by The Telegraph late Friday. The publication added it had...

Britain's Telegraph newspaper has apologized and paid damages to U.S. First Lady Melania Trump after publishing an article it says contains many false statements. The newspaper said Saturday it apologizes "unreservedly" to Mrs. Trump and her family for any embarrassment caused by the content of a cover story published Jan. 19 in the newspaper's weekly magazine supplement. "As a mark of our regret we have agreed to pay Mrs. Trump substantial damages as well as her legal costs," The Telegraph said. The newspaper did not disclose the size of the settlement with Mrs. Trump.

Following last Saturday’s (Jan 19) Telegraph magazine cover story “The mystery of Melania”, we have been asked to make clear that the article contained a number of false statements which we accept should not have been published. Mrs Trump’s father was not a fearsome presence and did not control the family. Mrs Trump did not leave her Design and Architecture course at University relating to the completion of an exam, as alleged in the article, but rather because she wanted to pursue a successful career as a professional model. Mrs Trump was not struggling in her modelling career before she...

British newspaper The Daily Telegraph has paid “substantial damages” to Melania Trump and apologised “unreservedly” to the US first lady after making a number of false claims about her life in an article. The piece promised to tell the truth on what it described as the “most private and enigmatic” of presidential wives after interviews with “White House insiders, Slovenian school friends and photographers”. The newspaper said in a statement retracting the piece: “Mrs Trump’s father was not a fearsome presence and did not control the family. Mrs Trump did not leave her design and architecture course at university relating...

Melania Trump epitomizes the qualities that Americans should admire in our First Ladies. While clearly both fashionable and beautiful, Mrs. Trump’s most impressive qualities are her toughness, determination in the face of a hostile media environment Every year on the Ringside Politics program, we award our “Turkey” of the year during Thanksgiving and our “Champion” of the year in late December. This year, the “winner” of our turkey award was House Speaker Paul Ryan, a fitting choice for such a failed leader. However, our “Champion” award was a more difficult selection. During the past year, many fine people distinguished themselves...

Is there anything, anything at all, for which President Donald Trump won't be faulted by a press corps that despises him so much they are making a mockery of themselves in front of the world? They slammed the president for failing to visit troops in a war zone. Then, on Christmas night, Trump snuck out of town with Melania to bring Christmas cheer to troops in Iraq. So they slammed him for signing "Make America Great Again" Hats that soldiers brought him, turning the trip into a "campaign stop." It gets even more ridiculous. The scribes at Yahoo News discovered...

Filling out the Trump music videos for the Christmas season, another Melania Fashion Video set to Telemann's "Concerto In D-Major For 3 Trumpets." She SHOULD be on every fashion magazine cover and praised to the sky for the grace she brings the office of FLOTUS. YouTube up-arrows always appreciated for any Trump video. Melania Trump’s spokeswoman penned an op-ed Monday slamming the media for focusing on “trivial and superficial” matters, like the first lady’s marriage and fashion choices, despite her continued work benefiting children and military families. Stephanie Grisham, Mrs. Trump’s deputy chief of staff for communications, took issue with an opinion piece by CNN contributor Kate Anderson Brower, who accused the first lady of throwing herself a “pity party” for lamenting how she’s covered by the media during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity last week. “This condescending opinion, apparently written in response to a single answer Mrs. Trump gave in...

On Don Lemon's show CNN Tonight on Wednesday, liberal analyst Joan Walsh slammed First Lady Melania Trump for "whining" in a Sean Hannity interview about how the media mangles history on this presidency. Fox's Gutfeld Blasts CNN's Joan Walsh JOAN WALSH: She continues to whine about a situation that she's part of, and it's a great honor to be first lady. And I'm sure privately, you're allowed to grouse, but you know, if Michelle Obama had done half the complaining that she has done in her -- in her limited interviews -- She doesn't do many -- she'd be skewered.I...

First lady Melania Trump on Wednesday criticized journalists and comedians as “opportunists.” In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump accused media figures, authors and “performers” of “using my name or my family name to advance themselves.” “It doesn’t hurt,” she said. “The problem is they’re writing history and it’s not correct.” The first lady told Hannity that despite criticism “from the public or from the media,” she tries to “stay true” to herself and do what she believes is “right.” “I will do what is right and what I feel is right for the country and for...

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something filled with the coagulating blood of one’s enemies. The Trump household apparently wasn’t content turning the White House into a dark alternate dimension where all hope dies for just one year—this house of horrors has now become an annual holiday tradition. The White House has shared an official look at First Lady Melania Trump’s latest holiday decor at the White House. Last year, Mrs. “Be Best” turned the hallways of the presidential residence into a living nightmare straight out of Get Out or Voldemort’s bathroom. Shadowy branches crept over the walls, reaching forth...

Initially, Obama chose not to comment on Melania and her role in the White House, saying “I’d prefer not to, you know, speak on what she’s doing versus what I did.” But being the bitter individual she is, Obama couldn’t help but portray Mrs. Trump in a negative light, claiming she offered advice to the new occupant of the White House but was rejected. It is nearly impossible to convey the disdain on Obama’s face when explaining to Roberts that she has never been contacted for advice.

A transoceanic personnel crisis that engulfed the National Security Council this week is partly rooted in a bureaucratic dispute over the seating arrangements aboard first lady Melania Trump’s plane to Africa last month during her maiden solo trip abroad.

As the East Wing prepared the flight manifest for the marquee trip, deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel became angry that seats on the first lady’s government jet were assigned to a larger-than-usual security entourage and a small press corps with none for Ricardel or another NSC staffer, according to current U.S. officials and others familiar with the trip and its aftermath.

President Trump’s chief of staff John Kelly may soon be pushed out of the White House after clashing with first lady Melania Trump. The top White House aide and the first lady have had disputes over staffing issues and travel requests, NBC News reported Tuesday. "There have been instances where the East Wing staff were not treated as equals to the male-dominated decision makers in chief Kelly’s office," one White House official told the news outlet. "Promotions were denied then finally granted after months of requests.” Some of the arguments have escalated to the president. The first lady brought up...

The White House and President Trump took some heat on Saturday after it was announced that he would not make a previously scheduled visit to a cemetery in France for Americans killed in World War I due to inclement weather. Trump arrived in France on Friday to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, along with first lady Melania Trump. They'd planned to visit Ainse-Marne American Cemetery in Belleau, France. The president was expected to lay a wreath and observe a moment of silence. The first couple was supposed to travel to the site via helicopter,...
