TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) - A Hillsborough County building inspector was seriously injured when he tried to stop a woman from stealing his truck, authorities said. The Hillsborough County Sheriff Office says the inspector left his county truck running Dec. 27 as he inspected a new home. Deputies say McKenya Thomas, 22, jumped into the truck to steal it. The inspector also entered the vehicle to prevent the theft, but was thrown from the truck as she sped off. A pregnant Missouri woman who was found dead at her home on Thursday was allegedly beheaded by her ex-boyfriend. KMOV reported that Liese Dodd, 22, was discovered dead at her Alton home after her mother came to check on her. Deundrea Holloway, 22, was accused of beheading Dodd and discarding her head in a dumpster. This week, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new statewide mask mandate that will take effect on Monday, Dec. 13, citing a rise in case numbers. A 13-year-old Huntsville girl was beheaded after she witnessed her grandmother assaulted with a knife and left to die on the ground in a cemetery, court testimony revealed. GRANITE CITY • Two suspected looters were arrested Monday in a tornado-ravaged area of Madison County, Sheriff Robert Hertz said. The suspects were charged with misdemeanor theft. They are Vince M. Dey, 18, of the 2500 block of Nameoki Road in Granite City and Steven W. Hawkins, 39, of St. Louis. Both were held in lieu of $1,000 bail. Sheriff's Capt.
