Anna Marzita Shinkle is charged with drunken disorderly conduct and resisting an officer after falling asleep at the Lani Kai Island Resort's grease dumpster just before 2 a.m. Saturday, according to an Lee County Sheriff's Office report. San Diego State University has axed its longtime tradition of naming a homecoming "king" and "queen," and this year will go with the gender-neutral term "royals," the Daily Aztec campus newspaper reports. Unhappy with a series of small concessions from the administration, protesters at Yale University have released a new list of demands that include firing people they don’t like and giving their favored programs a budget increase of at least $8 million a year. SANTA ROSA – They call themselves “the unicorns,” and they want to be Cub Scouts. Six California girls are fighting after they were told by the Boy Scouts of America that they can not join the local boy scout council in Santa Rosa because it is “inappropriate.” According to an ABC News report, 10-year-old Ella Jacobs tried being a girl scout, but didn’t enjoy it. A diversity oversight board has been announced for the city's second casino located in South Philadelphia that will guide the casino's parent company's goal of being more diverse. Owners of the casino announced Thursday it's made several agreements with the city that includes being more inclusive toward minorities, a commitment to giving workers, including contracted employees, minimum wages and working with local universities. One of the initiatives was that the owner, Stadium Casino, would report to a diversity advisory board in order to facilitate compliance of its Equal Opportunity Plan, which includes working with more minority and women businesses.
