A diversity oversight board has been announced for the city's second casino located in South Philadelphia that will guide the casino's parent company's goal of being more diverse.
Owners of the casino announced Thursday it's made several agreements with the city that includes being more inclusive toward minorities, a commitment to giving workers, including contracted employees, minimum wages and working with local universities.
One of the initiatives was that the owner, Stadium Casino, would report to a diversity advisory board in order to facilitate compliance of its Equal Opportunity Plan, which includes working with more minority and women businesses.
