Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways.

What would you do next if you had successfully brokered a “Neville Chamberlin” style deal with a rogue state that wants to annihilate America and her Middle East allies? Well. . . You’d downgrade diplomatic ties with the Vatican, of course. At least, that’s what you would do if you were working in the Obama White House. The White House has recently announced that they will shut down the US Embassy to the Holy See, and relocate it to a “safer” location on the grounds of the American Embassy in Italy. Officially, the US is explaining the relocation effort as...

... and can prove it The family at the centre of a row over a note left to gay waitress on receipt for a meal have hit back claiming the whole episode is a hoax. Dayna Morales, a former marine, hit headlines last week when a picture of a receipt she allegedly received from a family at the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, saying they didn't 'agree with her lifestyle' was posted online and went viral. On it she claimed the customer had written: 'Sorry, I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and the way you...

Noel Ignatiev, a professor at Massachusetts College of Art, has for years advocated the total elimination of Caucasians. During his final lecture before retirement last Monday, he told his white male students "you don’t deserve to live. You are a cancer, you’re a disease." NOEL IGNATIEV: If you are a white male, you don’t deserve to live. You are a cancer, you’re a disease, white males have never contributed anything positive to the world! They only murder, exploit and oppress non-whites! At least a white woman can have sex with a black man and make a brown baby but what...

Rev. Al Sharpton condemned “knockout” attacks Saturday but stopped short of calling for marches against the brutal hate crimes. “Kids are randomly knocking out people [from] another race — some specifically going at Jewish people,” he said. “This kind of insane thuggery — there is nothing cute about that. There is no game play about knocking somebody out, and it is not a game. It is an assault and is bias, and it is wrong.” Critics of Sharpton suggested he could do more, but acknowledged his words as a “good start.”

<p>"Go to the dictionary, & look up the 'C' word, … next 2 the definition … you’ll see a pic of Sarah Palin! No … wait … she’s under dumb C word," the singer tweeted.</p>
<p>Cher was taking heat from right-wing media on Monday after she presumably called Sarah Palin a "dumb c---" and members of the Tea Party "jihadists."</p>

(Update: Adding more on opposition to Core, where Duncan spoke) U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan told a group of state schools superintendents Friday that he found it “fascinating” that some of the opposition to the Common Core State Standards has come from “white suburban moms who — all of a sudden — their child isn’t as brilliant as they thought they were and their school isn’t quite as good as they thought they were.” Yes, he really said that. But he has said similar things before. What, exactly, is he talking about? In his cheerleading for the controversial Common Core...

As President Obama stumbles and fumbles his way through his second term, his mistakes are impossible to overlook. From his handling of the turmoil in the Middle East to his failed economic policies to the disastrous rollout of Obamacare, it has been a year of train wrecks for the President. Opponents of President Obama have plenty of ammunition to use as they criticize his second term agenda. Almost all of these critics have focused their attention on Obama’s policies, not his race. Despite the facts, the President’s defenders continually use the race card to invalidate criticism from his opponents. The...

MSNBC isn’t standing by its homophobic man. After eternally angry Alec Baldwin let loose his latest anti-gay rant — calling a Post photographer a “c–ks–king f-g” — the cable network yanked its flailing “Up Late” chat-show host off the air for two episodes starting Friday night. Baldwin contritely announced his own suspension in a statement on the MSNBC web site.

Virginia Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam is the subject of nationwide condemnation today for refusing to shake hands with his pro-life black conservative Republican opponent, E.W. Jackson. Northam was caught on camera refusing to shake Jackson’s hand after supporting Obamacare and attacking conservative Christian voters. As a pro-life, conservative African-American, Jackson has been pegged with the typical “Uncle Tom” attacks throughout the campaign from liberals who claim he is selling out his ethnicity by taking principled conservative stances and opposing abortion. The incident comes after Jackson found that one of his campaign signs in Virginia’s Loudoun County had vandals smearing the...

In early October, I posted a blog entitled "Dear Texas: Please Secede" that advocated kicking Texas as well as Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and perhaps other Southern states out of the USA because they have an inferior culture and their stupidity and greed has had a negative effect on the nation from Day One. Since then, I have read even more articles about two kinds of secession -- Southern states leaving the USA and rural conservatives in liberal states seeking to form their own state. It's clear that the partisan divide in Washington, D.C., and in numerous states has become so...

Piers Morgan used a fake news site to mock Sarah Palin on Twitter on Thursday. He linked to the satirical news site The Daily Currant saying that Palin claimed Jesus celebrated Easter. "And she's back!" Morgan gloated, with absolutely no mention that the article was fake. When critics told him the website was satire, Morgan answered that he knew it was. Yet he praised the notion that it was believable. "That's the beauty of it," Morgan wrote when someone tweeted that it was "hilarious even if its fake. Why? I believed it." That wasn't the first time Morgan has derided...

'Yeezus' MC: "Anytime the word 'Jesus' can be used more in our lives, it's a good thing."The opening night of Kanye West's Yeezus tour featured a highly unexpected cameo: Jesus Christ. Or, at least, a dude dressed as "White Jesus," as SPIN reviewer Douglas Wolk wrote. Like most things Yeezy does — I.E. rent an entire baseball stadium in order to propose to Kim Kardashian — the move quickly proved to be a conversation-starter. What's odd about this one is how ready and willing he was to personally join said conversation. In back-to-back interviews with San Francisco Bay Area rap...

MSNBC's erratic Hardball host, Chris Matthews, has again gone off the deep end with his nonsense talk about the Constitution's three-fifths clause. He's claiming that conservatives believe black people are, or once were, only three-fifths of a person. Why does a group of people that always loses elections or tends to do lately, why do they call themselves American people because - do they still count blacks as three-fifths? Three-fifths of a vote?

President Barack Obama is not an overtly religious man. He and his family rarely attend church, and he almost never elaborates in public about his own relationship to his Christian faith. But away from the public eye, advisers say, the president has carefully nurtured a sense of spirituality that has served as a grounding mechanism during turbulent times, when the obstacles to governing a deeply divided nation seem nearly insurmountable. Every year on Aug. 4, the president's birthday, Obama convenes a group of pastors by phone to receive their prayers for him for the year to come. During the most...

A group of Tufts University researchers recently conducted a study about the appeal of what they call "outrage-based" political shows hosted by such polarizing figures as Rush Limbaugh on the right and Rachel Maddow on the left. They conclude that the reason people gravitate toward such fare is that it offers them a form of comfort and a "safe haven." According to an article in Pacific Standard magazine, which reported on the study, when a person finds a host whose show lines up with his or her own ideology, "It's a way of feeling like part of a community that...

It was "night and day" hearing President Obama and President Clinton's health care chat versus Sen. Ted Cruz's, R-Texas, 21-hour "filibuster," the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Jr., tells Whispers. "Such clowning really helps President Obama, to see the contrast between the wise man and the clown," Jackson said Wednesday. Jackson has been in attendance at the Clinton Global Initiative's annual confab in New York this week and felt POTUS laid out the Affordable Care Act well when talking to Clinton Tuesday.
