The University of Kansas has designated a full residence hall wing as “gender inclusive housing” for the upcoming school year, and there’s already a waiting list to live there. “It tells me we’re hitting a need,” KU Student Housing director Diana Robertson said of the allocated rooms being filled. The goal is supporting LGBTQ students and ensuring they feel comfortable and connected at KU, Robertson said. Apparently three Philadelphia-area schools have decided they can't wait until Labor Day to start molding and shaping the young minds attached to the students who enroll there. The yearbook advisor at a central New Jersey high school had been suspended after the President Trump logo on students’ clothing vanished from their final photo. Grant Berardo, 17, says that he was shocked to find his “Trump: Make America Great Again” shirt had lost its political message in Wall High School’s “Behind the Scenes” book for 2016-2017. Wall Township School Superintendent Cheryl Dyer said that the district is investigating why that image, and Trump’s name on another student’s sweater vest, were wiped out. High schools across America are being pressured to offer time off school, in-school prayer rooms, and special dietary demands by Muslim students observing the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. One campus in Brooklyn has agreed not to serve food at its prom until after sundown while another school in upstate New York is setting up prayer rooms to satisfy the demands of students who observe Ramadan. Among the Muslim groups agitating for special privileges for Muslim students are the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim Student Association and Sound Vision.

The madness surrounding Evergreen State College continues. As reported by The College Fix, last week a student “meeting” with school president George Bridges quickly turned into a profanity-laced fiasco with Bridges being told, among other things, to “shut the f*** up” and that he had the “f***ing nerve to, like, f***ing dehumanize (something).” Despite the mind-boggling degree of disrespect displayed by the activists, perhaps the most bizarre occurrence that took place is when President Bridges is instructed by students to put his hands down while speaking because it is “inappropriate” (to quote a voice heard in the video).

A professor at the University of Arizona who conducts research on science education is arguing that students should be taught “queer theory” in elementary school. Kristin Gunckel, a professor at the University of Arizona, argued on behalf of introducing “queer theory” into American elementary school curriculum in a recent lecture that took place last month.

Students at Evergreen State College are furious that a video documenting their anarchic behavior has been made public, The College Fix reports. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, who is an assistant professor in African American studies at Princeton, delivered a roughly 20 minute speech to the graduating class of 300 students at the private liberal arts college on May 20. 'The president of the United States, the most powerful politician in the world, is a racist, sexist megalomaniac,' Taylor said roughly two minutes into her speech. The first all-female college in the United States to admit male undergraduate students who identify themselves as female officially declared a “financial emergency” earlier this week. The women’s school in dire economic straits is Mills College in Oakland, California, reports Inside Higher Ed. An assistant principal at a suburban Philadelphia school has resigned after video circulated online showing him arguing with and cursing at teenage abortion protesters outside the school. Zach Ruff, dean of student life and academics at Downingtown STEM Academy, had been on unpaid leave after the April confrontation. A racist threat against a St. Olaf student that touched off campuswide protests and forced the college to cancel classes earlier this month was a hoax, the school revealed Wednesday.
