President Donald Trump has weighed in on the Kansas gubernatorial race. Just a day before Republican voters head to polls to pick their nominee for governor, Trump tweeted his support for Secretary of State Kris Kobach. Noting that Kobach was an early supporter of his, Trump called the GOP candidate “a fantastic guy who loves his State and our Country.” “(H)e will be a GREAT Governor and has my full & total Endorsement! Strong on Crime, Border & Military,” Trump continued.

Kansas primary tomorrow. Just read a puff piece on Newsmax. Then I read a long- winded not so flattering take on Wikipedia. They've got some stuff on him that the left loves to pile on with. He sounds like a real warrior but more of a gentlemanly turn the other cheek' type. He could bring out the worst in the left that works for Trump but would it be to the detriment of Kobach? Tell me my educated friends.

By S.Noble - July 29, 20181 FacebookTwitterGoogle+PinterestEmailRedditShare The House Appropriations Committee voted on Wednesday to allow victims of gang violence and domestic abuse to enter the United States under new asylum rules. There is no way to verify their status as victims and any foreigner could make this claim, especially those coming from the hellholes of the world. Asylum rules are not meant to take in everyone or they’re not rules. In June, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a decision to stop granting asylum for such claimants. “The mere fact that a country may have problems effectively policing certain crimes...

In 2014, a lot of Kansas Democrats were convinced that Gov. Sam Brownback was toast. He ranked as one of the least popular governors in the country heading into that election. His tax cuts were widely derided as too much, too fast. The state was facing mounting budget deficits. A governor who had proclaimed himself to be pro-education suddenly was viewed as something else. On the morning of the election, the respected political forecasting site FiveThirtyEight projected Democrat Paul Davis as having an 80 percent likelihood of winning the race. But we all know how that election turned out. Davis...

...Yesterday, the House Appropriations Committee, during a markup of the fiscal year 2019 DHS funding bill, voted to block the new USCIS guidance to properly interpret “credible fear” as fear of an individualized persecution by a government. As we noted before, this is the lynchpin of the entire border surge, and unless we properly interpret the law as written, the border surge, drugs, gangs, and all of the fiscal and social ills that come with them will never stop. Yet Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Kan., — yes, that Kevin Yoder — gave his support to this Democrat amendment, and it passed...

The new face of an emerging democratic socialist movement joined its patriarch in the most unlikely place Friday, calling on Kansans unhappy with the direction of the country to get off the sidelines in a pivotal Republican-held congressional district. “We know that people in Kansas, just like everywhere else in this country, just like families in the Bronx, just want a fair shake,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the surprise winner in a New York House primary last month, told a frenetic crowd of more than 3,000 in a Kansas suburb of Kansas City.[snip]The 28-year-old Latina from New York and the 76-year-old Jewish...

When Democratic socialists Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders rallied for a left-wing congressional candidate Friday afternoon in Kansas, they insisted their agenda is "mainstream." Sanders, the Vermont senator and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate who spent the afternoon campaigning in Wichita for Democratic congressional candidate James Thompson, boasted that ideas “once considered to be radical” are now part “of the mainstream conversation.” “With allies like Alexandria and James in the Congress, we are going to pass a Medicare-for-all, single-payer program,” Sanders told the crowd. “And please understand that this idea of Medicare for all – this is not a radical idea.”...

The widely hailed, broadcast, heralded campaign trek of Democrat Party, Socialists/Communists,Bernie Sanders & the new Democrat bright star, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez into the state of Kansas, has clearly revealed that Sanders & Ocasio-Cortez are far from ready for prime time campaigning. Both them made off-course, conflicting comments and certainly, none of their campaign stops were anything to write home about. Their biggest rally attendee numbers were quoted by different Kansas media at 1000, 2,000, 3,000 or 4,000 (Choose your choice). Their performance was poorly flat as compared to a usual, routine, massively attended, great positive energy, POTUS, Donald J.Trump rally (Expect...

Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will travel to Kansas together next week to campaign for a pair of candidates in the state, according to The Washington Post. The pair will start off in Wichita, Kansas on July 20 to campaign for James Thompson in the state’s 4th district. From there they’ll head to outside Kansas City to support former Sanders delegate Brent Welder, who is running for the Democratic nomination in the 3rd congressional district. Sanders told The Post that he and Ocasio-Cortez, a self-identified democratic socialist, organized the trip after realizing they both wanted...

The Democrat nominee for Kansas attorney general displays a poster in her law office of Wonder Woman putting a lasso around a police officer’s neck, and, as a result, is facing pressure from her own Party to drop out of the race. Law enforcement groups criticized the candidate, attorney Sarah Swain, for displaying a poster promoting violence against police officers. When state Democrats took note of the backlash from law enforcement, they swiftly condemned Swain and tried to distance themselves from her. “We strongly condemn and reject any depiction of violence against law enforcement, including the image from Swain’s law...

Kansas officials are continuing to enforce a proof of citizenship law that a federal judge recently deemed unconstitutional. The Topeka Capital-Journal reported Wednesday that staff for Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has directed county clerks to continue requiring voters to present documentary proof of citizenship. One county clerk said she was instructed to continue enforcing the policy "as we have been." Danedri Herbert, a spokeswoman for Kobach, told the news outlet that state officials still need time to fully understand the court’s ruling on the law. She argued that the judge did not provide a clear timeline for when...

Kelli Bailiff, a spokeswoman for the Wyandotte County sheriff’s office, said at a news conference on Friday. “It is very possible that with their own firearm they were both shot.” A suspect was also...
