  • Hundreds of migrants arriving in Norway had mobile phones containing images of executions

    12/14/2015 4:56:24 PM PST · by TigerClaws · 53 replies
Hundreds of asylum-seekers entering Norway were discovered to have images of ‘executions’ and ‘severed heads’ on their mobile phones. The revelation comes amid heightened fears that ISIS is exploiting the migrant crisis to smuggle fighters into Europe, following last month’s attacks in Paris. Police admitted that the ‘explosion’ of refugees crossing into the country over the summer and in recent months meant that security checks were less thorough than required, and weren’t checking the background of those entering the country. Mac Slavo December 10, 2015 Frustrated with the influx of migrant refugees from Syria, Somalia and other war-torn countries in the region, Norway is leading a new path against the cultural invasion of Europe. Rather than make empty promises to its citizens about better policies, the Scandanavian nation frequently rated as having the highest standard of living in the world is paying out money for asylum seekers to avert a lengthy bureaucratic wait and just leave instead: As Fox News reports: "A family with two children is eligible for up to $9,300 dollars – and free flights home, the Norwegian...

Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who's previously made clear that he doesn't believe immigrants from the Middle East want to assimilate into American culture, wants Muslims who come to the U.S. to reject Sharia law. King made the comments when TPM asked him on Wednesday whether he supported Trump's proposed ban on Muslims entering the U.S. King said he wasn't confident any immigrants from the Middle East would do so, citing what he said was the failure of the only two Muslim members of Congress to renounce Sharia. Sharia law is incompatible with the United States Constitution and so if they...

The liberal media and Republican party elites erupted today after Donald Trump announced his plan to ban Muslim immigrants from the US until the government can assure it is safe to do so. But Democrat Jimmy Carter did the same thing, and much more during the Iranian hostage crisis. During the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter issued a number of orders to put pressure on Iran. Among these, Iranians were banned from entering the United States unless they oppose the Shiite Islamist regime or had a medical emergency. During the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter issued a number of orders to put...

Every American believes his country should be Christian. For half of the population, this means the public display of Christian symbols, laws promoting those Christian teachings that don’t encumber the wealthy, and politicians who profess the Christian faith. These people understand Christianity as a set of definite beliefs tied to churches and opposed to secularism.

Calm down and think, America. While everyone's undies are in a bunch over Donald Trump's proposal for a Muslim immigration moratorium, it is undeniable in a time of "heightened alert" -- when violent jihadists have no problem targeting their enemies here and around the world -- that national security profiling is imperative to our survival. Yes, that means taking politically incorrect criteria such as ethnicity, nationality and religion into account when battling radical Islamist throat-slitters, suicide bombers and hijackers who incinerate children on airplanes traveling to Disneyland, plant bombs in their shoes, underwear, soda bottles and belts, and shoot up...

"We are not a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of citizens." Mark Levin Immigration is not good for America. At least, not anymore. Immigration has benefitted our nation a great deal and it certainly can do so again, but as long as our current rules are in place, immigration can only hurt our country. Whether your ancestors came over on the Mayflower or you became a citizen yesterday, an American is an American is an American. However, even though that's true, the presumption of our immigration laws seems to be that any person, from any culture, of any...

Texas on Wednesday sued the Obama administration and an organization that resettles refugees over plans to bring six Syrian refugees to the state later this week. In a filing, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission accused the two of violating federal law with its plans to bring the family to Dallas on Friday. The state asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas to block the resettlement and to order the defendants to "comply with their statutory and contractual duties to the state." Instead of working with the state to resettle refugees, as the law declares,...

  • Illegal immigrants ('disfavored minority group') sue Oregon over ballot measure denying licenses

A group of illegal immigrants is suing the state of Oregon to overturn a voter-approved initiative that denied them driver's licenses. The lawsuit, brought by five illegal immigrants, comes after Oregonians passed Measure 88 last year with a strong two-thirds majority. Thirty-five of Oregon's 36 counties voted against licenses for undocumented residents, as did every congressional district in the state, most of which are represented by Democrats. But the lawsuit alleges Measure 88 is unconstitutional because it "arbitrarily" denies driving privileges based on membership in a "disfavored minority group." It alleges Oregon voters were motivated by "animus toward persons from...
  • Dangerous Compassion in the Syrian Refugee Debate? (without prudence = disaster)

G.K. Chesterton wrote that “the modern world is full of the old Christian virtues gone mad. The virtues have gone mad because they have been isolated from each other and are wandering alone.” His observation seems applicable to the current debate about taking in Syrian refugees. The “modern world” in this case is made up of the European elites, the Obama administration and Christian clerics who follow their lead. The virtue gone mad is compassion. What Chesterton probably had in mind when he wrote about “mad” virtues was Aristotle’s doctrine of the mean (which was later adopted by Aquinas). According...

EU countries are lining up in opposition to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's open door refugee policy with some countries closing their borders and others establishing strict border controls to try and slow the flood of refugees. Not Merkel. The German leader is defiantly standing by her policy despite the Paris attacks, even though her position is putting enormous strain on her government coalition.

Canada will accept only whole families, lone women or children in its mass resettlement of Syrian refugees while unaccompanied men – considered a security risk – will be turned away. Since the Paris attacks launched by Syria-linked jihadis, a plan by the new prime minister, Justin Trudeau, to fast-track the intake of 25,000 refugees by year’s end has faced growing criticism in Canada. Details of the plan will be announced Tuesday but Canada’s ambassador to Jordan confirmed that refugees from camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey will be flown to Canada from Jordan starting 1 December. Speaking in Jordan on...

Mike FlynnNovember 21, 2015 A Super PAC tied to Ohio Governor John Kasich is annnouncing a new multi-million dollar effort to torpedo Donald Trump’s campaign for the Republican nomination. Trump’s continued dominance of national and state-level polling has vexed the GOP establishment and pushed it to near-panic as voting nears. A recent survey of public attitudes by Reuters/Ispos, though, suggests caution for the GOP establishment. Whatever failings there may be in his specific policies, Donald Trump’s campaign has tapped into a strong, visceral feeling of millions of Americans. Seeking to destroy Trump, the candidate, may further alienate the Republican party...

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) and President Obama vowed they would block a House-passed measure to increase scrutiny of refugees from Syria and Iraq. Concern that terrorists might be hiding among those seeking to escape the war zone led to a veto-proof 289-137 bipartisan majority favoring the bill. Under the bill, the Department of Homeland Security, FBI and director of National Intelligence would have to certify a refugee posed no security threat before he or she could be admitted into the United States. "Only a tiny minority of the Syrians who come to this country are likely to be...

When my newlywed wife and I took a bus from Istanbul to Munich in 1972, we were surprised to see that almost all of our fellow travelers were Turkish workmen. We discovered that Germans were looking for cheap labor, and the Turks were filling these spots. We were young, naïve, and liberal, and we felt that the Germans were doing a good thing. We didn’t stop to think how these Muslim fundamentalists would fit in with modern Munich. This was a couple of months before the Palestinians massacred the Israeli Olympic team. The workers on our bus were not Palestinians....

It was apparently a race to see who was going to do this first. After a number of governors have said, not only no but hell no to more Syrian “refugees” coming into their states, senators are working at putting such a ban – or at least a “pause” – in place on a national level. Ted Cruz fired off a letter to the DHS already this week advising a hold and he told CNN today that he wanted to get a bill put in motion. No sooner had he done that than Rand Paul came out and said he...

Transcript excerpt by Sarah Angelopoulos on facebook: “ISIS is the only insurgency in human history to hold territories in multiple nations and multiple continents. They hold territory in Iraq and in Syria larger than the territory of the United Kingdom. And after Boko Haram was accepted into their fold, all Boko Haram territory in Nigeria falls under the caliphate of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the head of ISIS. This is a threat the likes of which we have never before seen and is much, much, more dangerous than Al Qaeda ever was. We have an administration that for seven years has...
