My introduction to Muslim migration to Germany in the '70s

When my newlywed wife and I took a bus from Istanbul to Munich in 1972, we were surprised to see that almost all of our fellow travelers were Turkish workmen. We discovered that Germans were looking for cheap labor, and the Turks were filling these spots.

We were young, naïve, and liberal, and we felt that the Germans were doing a good thing. We didn’t stop to think how these Muslim fundamentalists would fit in with modern Munich. This was a couple of months before the Palestinians massacred the Israeli Olympic team.

The workers on our bus were not Palestinians. But when you import people who can’t assimilate, they self-detonate.

"But when you import people who can’t assimilate...." More likely WON'T assimilate. And, never intended to. Gee, remember when it use to be a sense of pride for people to come to America learn English and eventually attain the honor of becoming a citizen? Not "dash" hounds. XXX-American. No, AMERICAN! If you're not in it for the long haul, then haul your lame ass out of here.

I worked in Russelsheim, Germany in 1996 (GM-Opel) and one of the first things I noticed was the lack of Aryan (blonde-haired, blue-eyed)- looking people in the area. On one occasion, I had taken my camcorder along for a bicycle tour of the downtown and surrounding local areas to make a kind of video postcard that I sent home to Michigan. As I approached an area that featured some small Turkish and/or Iraqi (Kurdish) restaurants, there was a group of young Arab men sitting on benches having conversations and when one or two of them saw that I was videotaping as I slowly pedaled past them, one of them stood up and began trotting towards me shouting in Arabic or whatever it was...I still have this footage (July, ‘96) and every time I look at it, I have to wonder...What if?

I did find this in the article a little further down so I’m pretty certain that there are still too many lib thoughts lurking is this guys head:

“Maybe before this Muslim madness, some restrictions on guns would have been sensible. Not now.”

One may as well bring rattlesnakes into the house to live. Importing Muslims will end just as well.

In what country have Muslims ever assimilated to that country's culture and values? The answer is "never". As soon as they attain some numbers and power there is constant conflict. They either ultimately conquer and destroy their hosts or they are eventually driven out with lots of bloodshed.

Sharia Law and our Constitution are as compatible as Communism is with individual freedom and liberty.

Our Constition was never meant to be a suicide pact but Liberals are turning it into one.

My son was born in Bremen, Germany in 2001. My ob-gyn was upstairs and the pediatrician had the flat down stairs.

During the 8 months I went to my appointments, besides one other woman, I was the only white woman who I saw walk into either office.

The strollers would be lined up down stairs for the pediatrician and the women in cover and their throngs of kids would be coming in and out.

I will tell you though, I did witness quite a bit of hostility toward them even then. One time in Super Walmart (they were in Germany at that time) I saw a German man in his 20s stop in the aisle and aggressively stare down a Muslim family. I had my neighbors tell me not to let my daughter play with the Muslim kids down at the park, they asked me not to show the house to Muslim renters, etc. etc.

“...even then”? After the Munich Olympics of 1972, I would hope there would be some backlash, some ill-will...even then!

I was all over Europe on a business trip in 1977, and saw the Middle Easterners everywhere I went. Never dealt with any in my business, but noticed them everywhere.

The problem is that they don’t assimilate; they want to make everyone assimilate to them.

I would have no problem if they came here to be Americans. Look at the Vietnamese. They have become so much a part of our culture that we all now know what Pho is.

How can they ever assimilate when every Friday the muslim cleric at the local mosque reminds them that they can never assimilate and should treat the Christians as the enemy that must be vanquished.
