A group of illegal immigrants is suing the state of Oregon to overturn a voter-approved initiative that denied them driver's licenses.
The lawsuit, brought by five illegal immigrants, comes after Oregonians passed Measure 88 last year with a strong two-thirds majority. Thirty-five of Oregon's 36 counties voted against licenses for undocumented residents, as did every congressional district in the state, most of which are represented by Democrats.
But the lawsuit alleges Measure 88 is unconstitutional because it "arbitrarily" denies driving privileges based on membership in a "disfavored minority group." It alleges Oregon voters were motivated by "animus toward persons from Mexico and Central America."

Re “disfavored minority group”. Well, people who violent the law are in “disfavor” by the majority of law abiding citizens, no matter who they are.
I had a car destroyed by an illegal Mexican who fled the area instead of showing up in court on a drunk/reckless driving charge.
If my then pregnant daughter had been behind the wheel of her/my car that day (it was parked), both she and my granddaughter would have been killed instantly. The driver pushed the engine block into the firewall, which, in turn pushed the steering wheel out to where her stomach would have been.
I would say that illegal, drunk, reckless and criminal aliens are a “disfavored minority group” in a sane world.
Even the leftist state of Oregon, to whom Karl Marx is a hero, says so.
Only James Bond has a “license to kill”, not illegal aliens though they are good at it.

They are now trying to make illegals into a Protected Class.
The illegals didn’t think this up. It’s an ACLU/Rat party/LaRaza initiative.
They already have some standing as “hispanics” to claim preferences. That standing is even used to carve up Congressional districts to guarantee a Mexican politician wins.

Some liberal judge will say that their human rights were being trampled on and they’re entitled to a DL.

People who entered the country illegally are seeking relief in a US court. I think this is a chance for the people of Oregon to sue them. Otherwise, they should be deported.
