Immigration is a concept that has divided America. An understanding of what Immigration has done in the past and what it will do in the future is something that must be understood and dealt with. The discussion must be engaged by all, including the administration in charge, the other countries involved and the citizens who take part. September 11, 2001 forced changes in US immigration policy. The Homeland Security Act split the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) into three sections: Customs and Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and US Citizen and Immigration Services. Not surprisingly, this latest federal attempt...

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told an audience today that illegal aliens are “not going away” and are “in effect” US citizens. And the DC elites wonder why Donald Trump is winning the Republican primary??? The Washington Examiner reported: The nation’s top immigration officer said that the “11 million” undocumented aliens in the United States are “not going away,” are “in effect” citizens, and added that deporting the few the administration wants out is unpleasant. Jeh Johnson, secretary of Homeland Security, told Harvard University students this week that the administration is focused on its plan to integrate illegals...

The Library of Congress is no longer using the heading "illegal aliens" in bibliographic records, thanks to a request from Dartmouth College students. Officials concluded that the meaning of "aliens" is often misunderstood and should be replaced with "noncitizen," and that the phrase "illegal aliens" has become pejorative. The heading "illegal aliens" is being replaced by "noncitizen" and "unauthorized immigration."

Mexicans torched a Donald Trump effigy and cheered as the replica of the Republican presidential front runner exploded during its annual burning of the Judas festival on Saturday. The popular ritual in Mexico City, which takes place before Easter and symbolizes Jesus’s victory over evil, drew hundreds of spectators who chanted “Death!” as the 10-foot-tall Trump papier mache was ignited, the Washington Post reports. For Latinos here and in the U.S., he’s a danger, a real threat,” Leonardo Linares, an effigy-maker who presided over one of the many block parties across Mexico, told the newspaper. “He’s a good man to...

Mexicans in the U.S. are profoundly upset about Donald Trump and his stated intentions. No other candidate has addressed illegal immigration with stated intent to fix it, but Trump has. They are not worried about any other candidate because they know they will only take watered-down action on illegal immigration and let things continue as usual. However, with Trump, they see a man awaking the nation to actually do something about the immigration problem and they are VERY upset about it. FYI to all.

"Protesters in favor of illegal immigration plan to hold major rallies in Phoenix and New York City protesting Donald Trump's stance on the question." Video interview with Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, who says the so-called protesters are Anarchists. "This isn't protests, anyway, let's not mis-identify this ok? This is rebellion, this is an anarchist's movement. They specialize in fear, and intimidation, and chaos, and they do it in the name of virtue."

More free stuff for people who violate our immigration laws! Hillary Clinton and her daughter have teed up a ball for the Republican nominee, whether Trump or Cruz, to hit 400 yards down the fairway. Just over a week ago, Hillary reversed her former position and declared: “I will not deport children,” she said after moderator Jorge Ramos pressed her multiple times on the issue. “I would not deport children. I do not want to deport family members either, Jorge.” So any family that can ante-up plane fare for the kids and one or more parent to JFK, Miami, Los...

“It’s all so senseless,” Maureen Maloney said of the death of countless Americans at the hands of illegal aliens. Maloney’s 23 year-old son Matthew was hit by a repeat-offending illegal alien drunk driver. Although Matthew survived the initial crash, he died as he was subsequently dragged a quarter of a mile—caught in the wheel well of the illegal alien’s pick up truck— as the alien sought to flee the crime scene. “Witnesses who saw [Matthew] pinned screaming under the truck ran out and pounded on the vehicle, crying out to the driver who kept going…'[Matthew] was alive for a good...

HOUSTON - Wendy Ramirez wants to be a doctor. She lives with her parents on a cul-de-sac in Houston. If a Republican wins the presidential election, she will very possibly have to go to work cleaning houses with her mother. Ramirez, 24, arrived in the U.S. from Mexico at age 8. She is a "DREAMer": one of the unauthorized immigrants brought illegally to the U.S. as a child. Bypassing congressional conservatives, Obama issued a unilateral order that protected from deportation DREAMers who were in high school or had graduated. He also gave them renewable two-year work permits and the ability...

Mexican Finance Minister Luis Videgaray recently rejected Donald Trump´s proposal of building a wall between the US and Mexico. Yahoo News quoted the Minister: “Under no circumstance will Mexico pay for the wall that Mr. Trump is proposing.” “Building a wall between Mexico and the United States is a terrible idea. It is an idea based on ignorance and has no foundation in the reality of North American integration.” Folks, the wall is an idea made popular by the widespread disgust of the American people with the large numbers of shaky, shady and criminal aliens crossing our border from Mexico....

DADE CITY - Dozens of undocumented farm workers in Pasco County were kicked out of their government-subsidized homes this week following an audit by the Pasco County Housing Authority. The workers were involved in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program, which is run through the Housing Authority and provides affordable, subsidized rents to low-income families. The Housing Authority began auditing the Cypress Farms tenants in December. That included some assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, which notified the agency one of the workers was using a fraudulent Social Security card; the Social Security number was also being...

As legislators debate the state budget in Albany, New York's immigrant community is making its needs known. Passing the $15 minimum wage, investing in education and increasing adult literacy programs are among the top priorities in a detailed "Budget for Immigrant New York" released Tuesday by Make the Road New York. Daniel Altshuler, the organization's director of research, said that for too long, some critical needs have not been met. "This report is calling for $2.9 billion in new school aid that should really be focused on high-needs school districts and those where immigrants are more likely to be concentrated,"...

Macedonian police fired teargas to disperse hundreds of migrants who stormed the border from Greece on Monday as a deeply divided Europe traded barbs over the biggest humanitarian crisis in decades. As frustrations boiled over at restrictions imposed on people moving through the Balkans, migrants trapped on the Greece-Macedonia border tore down a metal gate in the barbed wire fence. A Reuters witness said Macedonian police fired several rounds of teargas into the crowd and onto a railway line where other migrants sat refusing to move, demanding to cross into the country. Many of the migrants, fleeing war and poverty...

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC - While a majority of New Hanover County commissioners say they don’t want county tax dollars going to subsidize childcare for families who came here illegally, it remains unclear what guidelines will be applied to county money set aside for this purpose. In New Hanover, 106 of the approximately 1,500 children here receiving state and federal childcare subsidies have at least one parent who is undocumented. DSS officials tell us the average childcare subsidy is $400 per child, per month. Using that number, we estimate that means $508,800 is going to support New Hanover County children...

What appeared as any typical Wednesday noon at UCR's Bell Tower quickly became a large occasion as an audience of Highlanders were attracted to the center of campus to support Coming Out of the Shadows, an event hosted by the Undocumented Student Programs. "I'm coming out as undocumented, and unafraid,"second-year sociology major Ruby Olvera proudly shared alongside several other undocumented students. "I have a right to education and to healthcare, and I shouldn't be denied this just because of my legal status," exclaimed fourth-year sociology major Veronica Martinez. As an undocumented student ally, Nicole Perez, a fourth-year psychology and music...

A few weeks after Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% joined a bipartisan push for an immigration overhaul in 2013, he arrived alongside Senator Chuck Schumer at the executive dining room of News Corporation’s Manhattan headquarters for dinner. Their mission was to persuade Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the media empire, and Roger Ailes, the chairman and chief executive of its Fox News division, to keep the network’s on-air personalities from savaging the legislation and give it a fighting chance at survival. Mr. Murdoch, an advocate of immigration reform, and Mr. Ailes, his top lieutenant and the most powerful man...

"A nation without borders is like a house without walls – it collapses. As Arizona's Governor, I witnessed too much heartache, loss and suffering caused by illegal immigration," Brewer said in a statement announcing her endorsement. "For years I pleaded with the federal government to do their job and secure our border. Today, we can elect a President who will do just that — Donald J. Trump."
