106 kids of undocumented parents receiving childcare subsidies in NHC

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC - While a majority of New Hanover County commissioners say they don’t want county tax dollars going to subsidize childcare for families who came here illegally, it remains unclear what guidelines will be applied to county money set aside for this purpose.

In New Hanover, 106 of the approximately 1,500 children here receiving state and federal childcare subsidies have at least one parent who is undocumented. DSS officials tell us the average childcare subsidy is $400 per child, per month. Using that number, we estimate that means $508,800 is going to support New Hanover County children whose parents are in this country illegally. However, the children were born here and are therefore US citizens.

County officials tells us there is no requirement that they abide by these federal and state standards to help undocumented parents via subsidies for their children if county money is being used.

"It's not their money. It's not state and federal money," Commissioner Watkins told us. "It's county money….we're asking [DSS] to follow our guidelines."

Deport the parents. They can take the kids with them...if they really care about them.

NC can adopt the kids out and deport the illegal parents.

They can call me as heartless and cold as they want to, I don’t want my tax dollars supporting illegals. They could be the cutest little babies on the face of the earth. They could be the nicest, most deserving kids on the face of the earth. I don’t care. My tax dollars should not support them. If I want to support them, I’ll donate to some cause that takes care of them — back in their home countries.

Who’s kidding who......

The parents know the gravy train MO from a-z....they’re cashing us govt checks hand over fist.....under several identities.

And there/s their own SSI checks...... and checks for kids for faking having add.

Also getting eitc refunds for kids they “say” they left across the border.

“They can call me as heartless and cold as they want to, I don’t want my tax dollars supporting illegals.”

Not at all. We’re already broke raising our own underclass and their children.
This Mexican tactic may work in the bird world, where cuckoos lay their eggs in other birds’ nest and the `foster parents’ raise them, quite often to the detriment of their own chicks. but no longer here.
Go Trump. To hell with the cuckoos. They can take their chicks with or leave them here.

Last night at the grocery store...and the reason I would stress out working there!!!....Mexican girl wearing new Coach shoes, nice jeans and sweater, look a like (I hope!) Michael Kors purse. What made me look was that she had on an approx. 3 carat solitare diamond ring!!! Swiped the American flag EBT card which showed on the screen what was allowable and what was not. Bought name brand good food that I don’t buy much of. Left in 3-4 year old Chevy Blazer.

Our government is SO stupid to support these ‘poor’ people. And, I am thankful to God that I can pay for what I eat and that I have been able to do so my whole life. My parent’s instilled self reliance...which I am sure is not something graded anymore, haa!

This system can’t last because many whites are joining them on the gravy train; it is unsustainable.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Joining in record numbers for sure but many whites have been on the gravy train since it started. I have known my share.

Full disclosure - I too was on the gov. payroll early in life, for 4 full years I collected a gov. check, like clock work every month until Uncle Sam cut me my DD214. (The pay was lousy)

Last time I ran into Burlington Coat Factory for something I got behind a family of Mexicans...grandma, mom, daughters/sons, small children speaking nothing but Spanish. The 20 something sons/daughters were dressed to the max. They had 2 baskets absolutely full of the nicest stuff BCF carries....DKNY blouses, purses, shoes, jewelry and were looking at watches by the register line.
I know, because I used to work for our welfare department, why they have so much disposable cash. I’ll guarantee you the 3-4 small children they had with them were on cash aid, food stamps, and Medicaid. They may have been living in Section 8 housing which they can do if just one of them is American born. Since most of the adults who work work under the table they’ll report a very small cash income so they can draw max benefits on the kids. They know exactly how to work the system.

There have always been whites on the dole; now even more are gaming the system because they’ve learned from our permanent underclass. Part of the whole minimum wage increase debate reflects this; for less than $15 an hour, people are better off on the dole - otherwise they end up in the same boat, just more tired. Rather than tighten the programs, the government’s response is to force higher wages. Neighboring Jersey City just joined the $15/hour club; I guess people won’t even get out of bed for less.
