PITTSBURGH — A suspect in a credit card scheme spanning from Miami to Pittsburgh was taken down by police last week outside the Sam’s Club at Pittsburgh Mills Mall. However, his accomplice remains on the run.
Surveillance photos obtained by Channel 11 News show the men walking into the Sam’s Club, where they bought thousands of dollars’ worth of items with bogus cards. The pair hit the store last Wednesday and Thursday.
Authorities said employees became suspicious when the men started swiping gift card after gift card.

Authorities said the men, who are both from Cuba and in the U.S. illegally with Florida driver’s license, used fraudulent credit cards to purchase gift cards that they then used to buy laptop computers and tablets.
