CHICAGO (CBS) — In a race as tight as the campaign for Illinois governor, all it takes is one mistake to turn the election. Bruce Rauner made it on Tuesday. The GOP candidate placed a hot dog order at Portillos–one of them was with ketchup and mustard.

Last week a voting machine in Cook County, Illinois switched votes for Republicans to votes for Democrats. Election officials blamed a "calibration error" for the change. Anyone in Illinois who had direct contact with a person infected with the Ebola virus while in three African countries will be required to undergo a mandatory 21-day quarantine, according to an order signed by Gov. Two men were killed and eight people, including two teenage girls, were wounded in shootings throughout Chicago from Friday evening into Saturday, authorities said. With less than two weeks until Election Day, the race for Illinois governor is a dead heat as Republican challenger Bruce Rauner has made significant inroads among suburban voters, especially women, a new Chicago Tribune poll shows. The woman who voted next to President Barack Obama on Monday says she was "embarrassed and just shocked," after her fiancé jokingly told him "Mr. President, don't touch my girlfriend."
