Last week a voting machine in Cook County, Illinois switched votes for Republicans to votes for Democrats. Election officials blamed a "calibration error" for the change. Now, the same thing is happening in Maryland and again officials are citing a "calibration error." More from Watchdog.org:
Voting machines that switch Republican votes to Democrats are being reported in Maryland.
When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the x on the candidate I chose a Republican but it would put the x on the Democrat candidate above it, Donna Hamilton said.
This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat. Sometimes it required four or five tries to get the x to stay on my real selection, the Frederick, Md., resident said last week.
Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem, too, personally.
This is happening here as well. It occurred on two candidates on my machine. I am glad I checked. Many voters have reported this here as well, Hofmann, a Republican, wrote in an email Sunday evening.
"Calibration errors," which coincidentally don't switch votes cast for Democrats to votes for Republicans, rather the other way around, seem to be happening quite frequently. As I said last week, these machine errors were visible, what about the changes these machines are making to votes cast for Republicans that aren't visible? How many registered voters have had their votes and participation in the process stolen as a result of "faulty" machines?
Meanwhile, be sure to check out the newly released report about the alarming number of non-citizens voting in, and swaying, U.S. elections.
Apparently, we better check our paper copy before we push the ‘send’ button on the electronic ballot.
What this doesn’t address is the count that gets carried forward. If the electronic send is doing the same thing, all 1000 voters in a precinct could vote republican and the report could say 500 dem and 500 rep, and we wouldn’t know the difference. We don’t know all those people.
The democrats believe we wont do anything about it.
Must be a virus.................Obola Virus.....................
Have they EVER found a voting machine that does the opposite?...................
The article says they have not.
That would be nice except that MANY of these electronic machines do NOT produce a paper copy. It is not required in almost all of the states that have them.
Our elections are a joke due to election fraud. maybe one day we and our so called “leaders” will actually start screaming about it. I doubt it though.
Sadly, I'd say that's a pretty safe bet.
I’m more worried about the tabulation. Who is to say that the x says Republican but in fact casts a vote for the Rat?
Bush/Gore is the only one I know of.
Me too.
Bush vs Gore 2000
Has there ever been a contested election that didn’t go to the Dems?
Just one that I can remember. 2000: Bush vs Gwhore.
Who got the contract to BUILD those voting machines?
UNION SHOP!
Who got the contract to PROGRAM those voting machines?
Dem Relative!
We have seen this before and we will see it again and again, until the folks responsible are brought to justice -— I recommend the death penalty.
Have unions, government workers, community organizers, ACORN, social justice, illegal aliens, crooked voting machines, Black Panthers, dead people, fake ID’s and the like EVER VOTED GOP?
No, because the GOP represents WORK and not LEECHING, the Dems keep more asses on couches than anyone else. The Republicans offer a chance to work, Dems offer free stuff from the labor of those people. ‘
99% of all fraud is Democratic.
Calibration error. Won’t have any effect on the outcome. Right? Are these machines also changing dem votes to republican? HMMM.
how is it that whenever we hear of a calibration error, it always a Republican vote being changed to Democrat. Are they setting all machines with a Democrat default???
