Two men were killed and eight people, including two teenage girls, were wounded in shootings throughout Chicago from Friday evening into Saturday, authorities said.
A 23-year-old man was fatally shot and a 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting about 10:05 p.m. Friday in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The two men were standing in a courtyard in the 5500 block of West Corcoran Place when someone approached them and fired shots.

if the race/ethnicity of both victim and shooter do not fit into certain templates, then this shooting will be disregarded.
Only if we have a white or “white Hispanic” man shoot a black man, can it be considered newsworthy.
And in such cases, it’s deemed newsworthy so that the media can be used to foment hatred and get a lynch mob going.

The myopic media says “this is just normal for Chicago”. Nothing to get hyped up against whites for here, we can’t exploit it for that. Can’t blame republicans for it b/c it’s Chicago. so we remain at status quo and ignore it.

well, unfortunately, statistically, we can expect more shootings.
But if they are black on black shootings, they just aren’t news worthy.
You have to have a white or white Hispanic gunman shoot a black man, in order to become national news.
Only 2 and 8, chock it up to cooler weather.
