  • Jerk of the Week - American Medical Association

That time of the week has come again where we sift through the debris of the preceding week and find out which person or group has been acting against the American people. Sometimes these entities are cloaked in the aura of righteousness, but they can mostly be described as hypocrites or opportunists. Our Jerk of the Week this time is a surprising choice is it is a group that represents an occupation that most Americans greatly respect and admire: doctors. Recently, the American Medical Association began to whine about an obscure rule in ObamaCare that could cost medical practitioners a...

Russia's diplomatic service clears its stance in a statement on Ukraine issued on Wednesday. Actions of the US and EU, which connived openly at the state coup in Kiev, run counter to the Budapest Memorandum guaranteeing Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday. “A question one would like to ask in this situation is how these guarantees, which the EU and the US made numerous references to during the disorders in Kiev, tallied with the threats of sanctions against the then Ukrainian leadership?” the Foreign Ministry asked. “Was it not an instance of...

In an effort to expand his party’s base of support, Senator Rand Paul is urging fellow-Republicans “to find a place for young people and others who don’t want to be festooned by” issues like “traditional marriage.” Is he serious? Does he actually think this is a winning strategy? And can he truly believe that this is a way for Republicans to advance their cause? I’m afraid so. As reported on March 14th, Paul stated that, “I think that the Republican Party, in order to get bigger, will have to agree to disagree on social issues.” What a self-defeating, misguided...

I hope (This being my first) that I have posted this correctly? I saw the commentary by Liz Trotta on Fox this morning and was was amazed at the extent to which she was able to cover 'almost' every aspect of America's decline (the why's and how's) in just a few short minutes! I was surprised to see it up on youtube already. Looking around the Internet .. it seems that I wasn't the only one that was impressed! Sound is not very high quality but decent.
  • Anti-Russians display controversial US Confederate flag in Kiev

This was the flag of slave holding states in the United States that seceded in 1861, causing Civil War. Today the symbol is used by the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazi groups, and other organizations who are hostile to African-Americans. For the last several decades, protests have continued, demanding that this flag not be displayed in public places. Many people were greatly disturbed to see that the Confederate Flag is now being displayed, not in the United States, but in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. Larry Holmes, a civil rights activist in New York City, explained why the flag is...

I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President...

Reality on the ground in Ukraine contradicts the incompetent and immoral Obama regime’s portrait of Ukrainian democracy on the march. To the extent that government exists in post-coup Ukraine, it is laws dictated by gun and threat wielding thugs of the neo-Nazi, Russophobic, ultra-nationalist, right-wing parties...Members of President Yanukovich’s ruling party, the Party of Regions, have been shot, had arrest warrants issued for them, have experienced home invasions and physical threats... Jewish synagogs and Eastern Orthodox Christian churches are being attacked. Only Obama, Susan Rice, Victoria Nuland, Washington’s European puppets, and the Western prostitute media can describe the brutal reality...

Russian President Vladimir Putin is poised to invade Ukraine with military forces after winning unanimous approval for taking such a step from the notoriously rubber-stamp upper house of parliament. Members of the Russian Federation Council said that the troops are needed to protect the safety of millions of ethnic Russians in Ukraine and that the soldiers should stay until "the constitutional order is restored in Ukraine," which hints at a possible Russian attempt to return to power Viktor Yanukovych, ousted as Ukraine's president on Feb. 22, or install another Kremlin-friendly leader.

US President Barack Obama's warning that Russia would have to pay for a planned military intervention in Crimea is "a direct threat," a deputy head of Russia's upper house of parliament said on Saturday, saying Obama has "crossed the red line and insulted the Russian people." "Yesterday we heard from various media sources that the US president, Obama, had said Russia would pay dearly for its policy. We know that Maidan militants who were active in Kiev, and not only there, had been trained in Lithuania and Poland. Now they want to spread their influence with their activities to eastern...

I have been quite appalled at how so very lost the supposed leaders of most of the churches of today are. They purport to represent Jesus' teachings, yet their is outright denial of the very powerful message that satan's grip on us to cause us to sin, is indeed broken. No, rather the ministers of today all over teach a watered down and lying ministry that Jesus merely has saved us from the aweful results of going to hell. Yet, in one simple sentence and act with Mary, when he told her to go and sin no more, he proved...

It appears we have a spectrum of opinion on FR regarding the upheaval in Ukraine. On the one end of the spectrum there is passionate support, with a firm belief that the uprisings are purely indigenous Ukrainian groups. There is the belief that the Ukrainian people themselves have risen up against a corrupt and tryannical regime that is a puppet of Moscow. While some at the extreme end of this opinion say the protests are not really about the EU, it appears that most now concede that it is, and say that a majority of the Ukrainian people want to...

Television pictures of revolutions can make them seem like a spectator sport. Having Vitali Klitschko, the world heavyweight boxing champion, playing a starring role in the events in Kiev reinforces that impression. But the implosion of the Ukrainian state in the last 48 hours is a political earthquake. Chaos in Kiev could set off a tsunami that will toss Western Europe from its moorings too. It is a mistake to think we are watching from a safe distance. Maybe Ukraine is as foreign to the British people today as it was when an obscure crisis on its southern coast in...

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev said Sunday that the crisis in Ukraine stems from the government’s failure to act democratically. […] “Ultimately this is the result of the failure of the government to act democratically” and to engage in dialogue and fight corruption, Gorbachev said during an address to a forum on government communications in the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He added that the root cause of the unrest in Ukraine was an “interruption of perestroika,” referring to his reform policies, and of the democratic process there. …

A member of Ukraine’s opposition movement has called on Jewish and Muslim billionaire businessmen to force the president, Victor Yanukovich, to step down. In a speech in Kiev’s Independence Square, the unnamed protester, who said he was Muslim, urged Ihor Kolomoyskyi, Victor Pinchuk and David Zhvania -oligarchs with links to the protest movement - to talk to the president. He said: “You practice Judaism. In the holy synagogue, you have seats with placards. And you, today, are the only people who have access to Yanukovich. “In another week, your businesses, which you have earned in this land through the work...

Unclassified documents and emails, never published in Western media until now, regarding the secret Muslim Brotherhood spy working for the America Embassy in Cairo, are being presented in the trial of Mohammed Mursi. They reveal the activities of a liaison between the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the Muslim Brotherhood’s most senior leaders. Though employed by the embassy, Ahmed Aleiba does not have diplomatic immunities and was arrested by Egyptian authorities last month, according to the New York Times Bureau Chief, David Kirkpatrick. The trial, which begins on February 16th, will determine if Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Khairat Al-Shater and ousted...
  • We deserve better than Fox News

We deserve better than Fox News I’ve gathered information for this column from two recent books: David Brock’s “The Fox Effect: How Roger Ailes Turned a Network into a Propaganda Machine” (2012) and Gabriel Sherman’s “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” (2014). Both books deserve serious attention, if only to refute. If you watch Fox News, you owe it to yourself to understand its history and outlook. If you find Fox News unbalanced and unfair, both books offer powerful support. Thinking Americans — whether liberal or conservative — have every reason to feel deeply, constantly, seriously dissatisfied. Consider: (1) Watching...

eputies representing conservative center and nationalist parties have proposed a bill to ban child participation in beauty pageants and introduce tough fines for lawbreakers. Lawmakers from the United Russia party and the Liberal Democratic party have already submitted the bill to the Lower House, the State Duma press service reported on Friday. The draft outlaws child participation in any event where they will show themselves off and be judged on their appearance, if this could harm the child’s health or development physically, intellectually, psychically, and spiritually. Participation in contests that could potentially lead to corruption of the young is also banned....

MOSCOW — At the height of the Cold War, it was common for American conservatives to label the officially atheist Soviet Union a “godless nation.” More than two decades on, history has come full circle, as the Kremlin and its allies in the Russian Orthodox Church hurl the same allegation at the West. “Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a recent keynote speech. “Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in...
