A conservative student at the University of Michigan has fairly brilliantly subverted a new campus-wide policy intended to force professors — and the entire campus community — to use exotic pronouns to refer to students who insist they belong to some alternate, fictional gender. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has teamed up with Pusha T for a voter registration drive that includes the chance to meet the rapper backstage at one his concerts. By registering to vote via Clinton’s campaign website, one winner and a guest will be selected to receive a round-trip airline ticket to a Pusha T event and hotel accommodations for the night. A grand jury on Thursday accused former state Senate candidate Carlos Villanueva of illegally applying for absentee ballots in the names of three dead people in 2014. In an interview, Villanueva said he didn’t break the law and will plead not guilty. He was simply testing the election system, he said, to make sure safeguards were in place to prevent people from voting under the names of dead people. Election officials should have flagged the requests and refused to mail the ballots, he said. “I would never do anything criminal,” Villanueva said. “That is not me.”
