But now America just learned who was really behind the hate graffiti, and now libs are completely embarrassed. Hundreds of students and faculty at the University of Virginia have asked the school’s president to stop quoting President Thomas Jefferson, the university’s founder, because of his slave-owning past. U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $499,500 in federal funds for Mohawk Valley Community College’s thINCubator. This funding was allocated through the federal Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) i6 Challenge program and will allow Mohawk Valley to provide funding for start-up companies as well as connect them with the resources needed to succeed and create jobs. Specifically, this funding is aimed at helping entrepreneurs in Upstate NY’s burgeoning nanotechnology, cybersecurity and Unmanned Aerial Systems sectors. Schumer and Gillibrand said this funding is a critical component of making this project a reality.

The President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University gave a lecture to students they’ll never forget. Recently a student complained about a sermon that made him feel guilty and blamed the school for making students feel uncomfortable. This is not uncommon. Many universities now are so afraid of offending even one student, that political correctness has run amuck. However, this University is based on religion and so one would expect that discipline, good character and personal accountability would be a big part of the curriculum.

The University of Texas at Austin will ignore demands from student officials to “disband” a young conservative student group following a controversial “affirmative action bake sale” last week. The University of Michigan’s new chief diversity officer will collect $385,000 a year under his various job titles, including a new one created by a recently revealed $85 million, five-year U-M diversity plan. Robert Sellers’ appointment to a new position called “vice provost for equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer” (VPEI-CDO) was approved Oct. 20 by the university’s governing board.
