Last fall, The Advocate reported on a new type of local sanctuary law being passed in counties around Oregon, known broadly as “Second Amendment sanctuary” laws. On Tuesday, the state Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve Senate Bill 978 which contains a cornucopia of new gun control measures that will effectively criminalize the Second Amendment and all gun owners.
