Barack Obama's love of golf has been widely documented, including the time he crashed a wedding at Torrey Pines last October. It's unlikely the next commander-in-chief will share the same zeal for the game that Obama does, especially if Ted Cruz gets elected. Cruz is on a bus tour through Iowa that covers 28 towns in six days. On Saturday's stop, Cruz was asked if he played golf. According to a New York Times report, Cruz said he played golf, but does so "horribly." "Do I golf?" Mr. Cruz said, repeating the question. "Horribly. And indeed, to call what I...

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Margery Hadar, who began playing golf three years ago, made the most of a Sunday round at Granada Golf Course by recording TWO holes-in-one. The 73-year-old New York resident, using a driver that she called, "the best club in my bag," holed out on the 164-yard [492-feet] No.5 hole and nearly 30 minutes later on the 112-yard [336-feet] No.7 hole. The 1923 Donald Ross layout is touted as South Florida's oldest continuous operated par-3 course.

In a report released Wednesday, the state auditor faulted Hawaii's Department of Human Services in failing to implement the state's online system for the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare. DHS did "not properly plan for or implement" the $155 million health care exchange, which is called the Kauhale On-Line Eligibility Application system, or KOLEA. "Poor planning and lack of effective leadership at the division level exacerbated already tight time constraints for developing KOLEA and forced the KOLEA Project Team to develop the eligibility and enrollment process while designing KOLEA," the audit states.

Alright, so the only thing hotter than this girl is her golf swing. Check it out. She nails it! This is the sort of thing that shatters stereotypes. You know what I’m talking about, right? The stereotypes that usually revolve around hot blonde girls being less than intelligent. The ones that say they are nothing more than beautiful smiles with a fantastic pair of… eyes, yeah that’s it, eyes. Well this beauty could be a liaison for the advocacy group, “Blondes with Brains”. There is a video of the swing.

A Dubai real estate firm has restored Donald Trump's name on a $6 billion golf complex it is building with the U.S. businessman and presidential hopeful, days after taking it down following his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. Trump prompted an uproar when he made his comments in response to deadly shootings in California by two Muslims who authorities said were radicalized. Gold letters spelling out "Trump International Golf Club," affixed to a landscaped stone wall at the entrance to the golf complex being built by DAMAC Properties, were removed on Thursday, according to a Reuters...

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the City Park Improvement Association brought by advocates opposed to the ongoing construction of a $24.5 million golf complex in the park. City Park for Everyone Coalition still has a pending lawsuit against the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which contributed $6 million in Hurricane Katrina recovery funds toward the project. The coalition argued that City Park and FEMA together failed to consider all of the possible environmental consequences of building an 18-hole championship course and didn't give the public enough opportunity to comment as required under federal and state laws. City Park...

Not much doubt remained that Jack Nicklaus would retain his record for victories in major golf tournaments. But any lingering thoughts of Tiger Woods possibly supplanting him were snuffed for good last week. What once seemed inevitable has transitioned to impossible. Stuck at 14 major victories since capturing the 2008 U.S. Open, Woods will not win five more majors. Woods will not win four more majors to tie Nicklaus‘ mark of 18. He would do well to win another tournament, period, something he last accomplished at the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational. He has teed off in 23 PGA tournaments since then...

I think you'll enjoy this short video with golf pro Hank Haney, who analyzes Trump's golf swing...I think you can predict the outcome. Trump has his own style. There is so much going on with this man, starting with just his life from birth to the present. So much for all of us to discover, ie if he becomes our next president. I would love to see Trump and Obama playing golf together, in fact, you know someday this will happen.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California officials say some 482,000 Volkswagen and Audi diesels were engineered to falsify their emissions for federal tests—a violation that opens the German automaker to a theoretical fine totaling $18 billion. The EPA and California Air Resources Board say the affected models had software in its computer engine controls that could sense exactly when it was being tested for emissions quality. At all other times, it would run the diesels in a different mode with illegal levels of pollution; for example, spewing up to 40 times more nitrogen oxide, a key component of smog,...

President Barack Obama leveled cheating charges against former Yankee great Derek Jeter as the athlete easily beat him in a round of golf. Press Secretary Josh Earnest alleged that “the president’s prowess has been borne out in hundreds of rounds over the past six years where he has gone undefeated against every prior opponent. How likely is it that Jeter would be the only person to win against him?” Earnest brushed aside the possibility that a skilled professional athlete of Jeter’s caliber might have genuinely been a better golfer. “Let me point out that the president has more hours of...

President Barack Obama has played a lot of golf in his days as the nation’s leader. On Monday, Obama relayed one of his golf stories while speaking at a fundraiser for the Nevada Democratic Party hosted at the home of The Las Vegas Sun owner Brian Greenspun. Obama talked about about golfing with Greenspun and former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter, saying the two “stole money” from him because Jeter was “shanking balls everywhere” at the practice range and then beat him on the course.
