DALLAS - A Texas high school football coach directed two players to strike a referee during a game because of missed calls that had hurt the team, the players claimed Friday during a national broadcast. New figures show that 87 of 91 deceased former NFL players have tested positive for CTE. Figures from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Boston University have identified the degenerative brain disease in 96% of NFL players and 79% of all football players they have examined. A Vikings fan was attacked by a pack of 49ers fans outside Levi’s Stadium Monday night. Video posted on Facebook shows the attack after San Francisco’s 20-3 win over Minnesota. A man in an Adrian Peterson jersey is repeatedly kicked and punched in the face while trying to get up off the pavement while a handful of 49ers fans surround him. One event security staffer, in a yellow coat, runs in to break up the fight but some of the 49ers fans still get a few more shots in on the Vikings fan before more help arrives.

New details have emerged from the national story involving two Texas-based high school football players who targeted an official during last week’s game. San Antonio Jay assistant coach Mack Breed has been accused of orchestrating the attack and has been placed on administrative leave while the situation is being investigated, according to according to the San Antonio Express-News.
