I was playing around and was attempting at being clever. Perhaps not entirely original, but I thought I'd put this up anyway :-) http://www.dejagerdesign.com/flyers.pdfJP

In early May of this year, our dear friend Flyer was diagnosed with a brain tumor and lung cancer. The doc’s told him the tumor was not curable, but treatable. His understanding of the lung cancer was that it was minor (if there is such a thing). Several weeks ago Flyer finished radiation. Tuesday was his first chemo treatment. Friday he was feeling bad, but did not want to go to the hospital. His brother finally called an ambulance Saturday morning to take him to the ER. A few minutes ago Eaker, myself and Roger (Flyer’s brother) returned from the...

SALINA, Kan. — Adventurer Steve Fossett said Friday that he had broken the record for flying farther than anyone departing and landing at the same spot, traveling more than 25,000 miles in three days. Fossett landed his lightweight experimental aircraft at Salina Municipal Airport a few hours ahead of schedule, at 9:06 a.m. CST, more than 74 hours after he took off from the same place. Certification of the record could take two weeks to a year. Fossett said he flew about 25,300 miles in the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer. The previous closed-circuit record of nearly 25,000 miles was set in...

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - After two months of zig-zagging across Canada by plane, frequent flyer Marc Tacchi has reached his goal of accumulating one million miles of credits -- and become something of an Internet celebrity in the process. On his blog "The Great Canadian Mileage Run 2005," Tacchi reported on Wednesday that he had racked up 1,003,625 mileage points and spent 56 of the last 61 days in an airplane. "I myself need to get to bed in a prone position for some serious rest," he wrote. The 30-year-old embarked on his venture using Air Canada's North America...

SASKATOON, SK, May 18, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Saskatchewan man has been charged and ordered to pay $17,500 in damages to several homosexuals as a result of a flyer he distributed in Regina, containing warnings against the dangers of a homosexual lifestyle that a human rights tribunal ruled was “hate speech.” On May 2, the Saskatchewan Human Rights Tribunal ordered William Whatcott to pay homosexual Guy Taylor $2,500 and $5,000 each to homosexuals Brenden Wallace, James Komar and Kathy Hamre for damages. The four had sued Whatcott for a flyer he had distributed in mailboxes between September 2001 and April...

Japanese Official Warns of Fissures in North Korea(130 generals defected?) Japanese Official Warns of Fissures in North Korea By JAMES BROOKE Published: November 22, 2004 OKYO, Nov. 21 - After weeks of reports from North Korea of defecting generals, antigovernment posters and the disappearance of portraits of the country's ruler, the leader of Japan's governing party warned Sunday of the prospects of "regime change" in North Korea. "As long as Chairman Kim Jong Il controls the government, we have to negotiate with him, but it is becoming more doubtful whether we will be able to achieve anything with this government,"...

Listening to the Kenny B show on AM 940, WMAC this morning, Kenny made a reference to the "Special Olympics" flyer being handed out in north Macon. I guess Dimocrats are the same no matter where you go.

These are the words of John Kerry. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he claims to have served honorably and well, and he points with pride to his Band of Brothers - the other Veterans of Vietnam. How highly he speaks of those who fought and died so long ago - how quickly he points to their sacrifices as his own! He raises his hand in salute and honor to the glory that is John Kerry's Vietnam... But there are those among us who remember the another John Kerry - the one who came upon our televisions and into our homes, night...

High-flyer quits amid plagiarism accusations By David Usborne in New York 30 May 2003 One of the most prominent writers at The New York Times has fled the newspaper after suffering a two-week suspension pending an investigation into a feature article he wrote almost a year ago on Florida oystermen that allegedly relied too heavily on the contributions of a freelance contributor. Rick Bragg, who won a Pulitzer prize in 1996, announced his resignation, saying that staying on would "only lead to more tension". He added: "I don't want to have that tension in my life, and I do not...

I didn't know a lot about this candidate until I found a flyer on my windshield at work. Since I work in a union shop, I expected to find the usual "vote for I. B. Sleaze so we can tax the evil rich to death" propaganda. But no! Instead, the grassroots candidate (he beat out Walt Locito in the primary!) for the GOP has been getting out the word. His platform reminds me of former Governor Tommy Thompson's tactics. He's co-opting issues and leaving no platform for the Dems to stand on. Also, he's not fallen into the smear ad...

Courtesy of the Kentucky RLC Chairman, here is a Word document in tri-fold format that does a fine job of stating the case for the RLC. You can click on the link to view the document in a new window (most browsers), or right-click to download it to your machine. It's been virus-checked.
