Why would they sign up? As illegals, they get more stuff, and better treatment, than citizens do now.
America has done this at least since 1974. When I joined the Army there were platoons of soldiers going thru basic combat training who were illegals. They all spoke Spanish of sorts. After training and learning a little English, they were sent to units all over the Army.
The US Army is not like European Armies. We do not create regional or local active duty units, the reserves and guards are locally sourced, but the overall army is made up of individuals. We rotate individuals and not units.
While having Democrats at the controls it always worries me. The Democrats have bent every rule, broken every law, and will hammer you with the same.
These could be people with no reluctance to fire on US citizens.
May as well create an American Foreign Legion.
