"No Trump! No wall! No U.S.A. at all." This was the chant of the violent, black-masked thugs who descended on an otherwise peaceful protest in Berkeley over the weekend. And it gives you a window into the tactics of the violent fringes of the Left. They attempt to lure in normal, reasonable people -- which they most certainly are not -- by showcasing a common enemy, such as racism or fascism. But that's just a sweetener for their real agenda item. Lots of normal, reasonable people oppose Donald Trump. Many of them oppose the border wall, too. But the third...

President Donald Trump assured reporters Monday that Mexico will pay for the border wall even if it’s through reimbursement. During a joint White House press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto, Trump was asked if it was still his play to have Mexico pay for the wall. “Yes, they will. One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the wall. That's right. It may be through reimbursement, but one way or the other, Mexico will pay for the wall,” the president said. “We're right now negotiating NAFTA. In my opinion, Mexico has been very difficult, as they...

The Electric Bioreactor Farm Finnish researchers have created a batch of single-cell protein that is nutritious enough to serve for dinner using a system powered by renewable energy. The entire process requires only electricity, water, carbon dioxide, and microbes. The synthetic food was created as part of the Food From Electricity project, which is a collaboration between Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. After exposing the raw materials to electrolysis in a bioreactor, the process forms a powder that consists of more than 50 percent protein and 25 percent carbohydrates — the texture...

When a young Somali woman got on a bus in Finland, she told the driver that she had bought a ticket earlier, but her phone battery had died so she couldn’t show it. When the driver saw through her subterfuge, the Muslima asked if she could pay for the ticket now. He said, no, you lied before, get off my bus. And he recorded the whole thing on his own phone. After the incident, the driver had the misfortune to encounter two official manifestations of Politically Correct Multiculturalism: (1) His superiors did not back up his actions, and in fact...

The mosque boasts that it has been "able to organize many activities". One of these, it says, "is to spread Islam to the non-Muslims in Finland". Now Muslims in Finland want a mega-mosque. The idea that mega-mosques "prevent radicalization" is clearly popular among proponents of Finnish mega mosques, but on what evidence is this view based? Can they name one country where this was actually the case? Finland would be wise to look at what the establishment of Saudi and Gulf state-funded mosques in the rest of Europe has already done to the continent in terms of Islamization and radicalization.

Top leaders of five Nordic countries are rejecting claims that they "trolled" President Donald Trump by posing for a photo that is drawing comparisons to the US leader's now-infamous moment with a glowing orb during his trip to Saudi Arabia. The photo, which was first reported by The Hill, shows the prime ministers of Norway, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Denmark all placing their hands on a European soccer ball -- an image that would most likely have been viewed as benign had it not surfaced just days after one of the most memorable moments from Trump's first foreign trip to...

Sweden is changing. After a lengthy period of shrinking investment in its armed forces and a tactical shift from national defence to developing expeditionary capabilities, Stockholm's focus has reverted to protecting its population against invasion. The potential threat from Russia is evident in the roughly 400 quick reaction alert (QRA) sorties flown by the Swedish air force's Saab Gripens in each of the last three years. Moscow's fighters and bombers are routinely seen in international airspace over the Baltic Sea, and future additions to that nation's capabilities – such as the Sukhoi T-50 fighter and S-400 long-range surface-to-air-missile system –...
