STRUTHERS, OHIO — On a recent Saturday, standing in her driveway, Halle Minchin Skook could not fathom why her neighbor was pissing on Youngstown’s Democratic tradition and voting for Donald Trump this election cycle. “He literally pees out his window,” Skook said, gesturing toward the house next door on Como Street, occupied by a Trump backer. The 26-year-old special education teacher at Struthers Middle School didn’t even want to mow the strip of grass between her home and that of her neighbor. “The stench of urine on the grass is awful,” her mother piped in. Standing in the driveway outside...
  • Iowa Absentee Ballot Requests (9/17/12 vs 9/20/16); Dems underperforming and GOP overperforming

Slight background. Dems in IA always vote much higher absentee compared to GOP. This has gone on for several elections now. GOP always makes up for it on election day at least in 2004 not 2008/2012. Off topic but FL, for some reason, this pattern is reversed. So here on the first day of absentee ballot requests of 2016 compared to the first day of absentee ballot requests in 2012: 9/17/12: D-92,850; R-13,635; I-28,091 9/20/16: D-43,443; R-15,272; I-16,360

She told CNN’s Erin Burnett that she respects his decision but notices the irony of voting for “the wife of the man who knocked him out of the race” in 1992. There is one key fact to understand about Hillary Clinton, one unarguable truth that explains all of her terrible policy positions and her dishonest, self-defeating behavior. Everything she believes leads to this conclusion. Everything she does, even the stupid things that have hamstrung her, stem from it. Hillary Clinton hates you.

Therefore—say, in a Tom Clancy novel—in some unfortunate, unknown circumstance, Huma Abedin-Weiner could become our first unelected Muslim President There are alleged, newly leaked e-mails between Huma Abedin-Weiner, Cheryl Mills, and Bill Clinton’s Wife, which reportedly reveal that if Bill Clinton’s Wife wins the Presidency, then Huma Abedin-Weiner will be appointed Secretary of State. This is fantastic news…if you are a Muslim, member of CAIR or the Muslim Brotherhood, or even just a casual Jihadist infiltrator with a confused view of true Holy Islam. And, Huma (rhymes with Poobah) would, indeed, make a fitting successor to John “I Love Me”...

There was a time when Hillary Clinton’s team believed she would win every swing state, many by double digits. That time has passed. According to today’s Washington Post, the Clinton team is now “pessimistic” about holding Iowa and Ohio, and they believe Florida and North Carolina will be close. Right now, the latest polls have Donald Trump ahead in all four states. If he were to win those four states, as well as Nevada, he would be one state away from winning the presidency. Here are the remaining battleground states and where they stand....

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (MarketWatch) — I’ll start with the bad news: The fourth year of the presidential election-year cycle is about to end, and year No. 1 of a new cycle is about to begin. And you can only guess what that means. But there also is some good news: What you know about the first year of the cycle is most likely wrong: First years do not automatically spell doom..... ...two features of that record that suggest we shouldn’t write off the stock market’s near-term prospects. First, as you can see in the chart at the top of this...

To those who say, “I’d vote for him if he were as conservative as I am,” the reality star said, “If I did that, I would not vote for anyone but myself.” From Western Journalism: Others say, “Well, Donald Trump sticks his foot in his mouth, that’s why I’m not voting...

Nate Silver famously has a secret algorithm to determine who is the likely winner in a race. His algorithm is showing that Trump has broken fifty percent for the first time in Nevada tonight. This is significant because Silver calculates more than polls, including the economy, the incumbent, etc. Using all of this, Silver is seeing Nevada is even.

Interesting parsing on this poll. Focus on Q2. In a straight up poll, I'm assuming raw data, Trump 35-33-8. When undecideds are pushed or extrapolated, it goes to Trump 46-43-11. When restricted to major party candidates, it's Trump 51.5 to 48.5 which is exactly what Helmut Norputh is predicting. I'll let our resident statisticians play with this one.

Donald Trump has been widely scorned by the liberal elite for his stances on immigration. Trump called for a pause in immigration to "find out what’s going on.” Not unexpectedly, that statement was bastardized by the liberal media into a total and complete ban on Muslims for all time. In August Trump refined his plan to call for "extreme vetting" of immigrants: To fight “radical Islamic terrorism” and to “make America safe again,” Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump proposed today administering a new, ideological test for immigrants who want to enter the United States. “We should only admit into this...

Long-time Democrat pollster Pat Caddell spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow Monday about the weekend’s terrorist attacks in New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota, and questioned if they should be considered “the new normal.” Caddell stated, “I don’t think that this was the end of it. We may, sadly, see more. But the question here is, are we to accept this as the new normal?” He added, “Or are we going to take the approach, ‘Not in our house’ and really get tough on this stuff?” Added Caddell, “I suspect this will now have a huge impact...

PHILADELPHIA -- Hillary Clinton’s campaign is aggressively outworking Donald Trump in battleground Pennsylvania, a state the billionaire businessman can scarcely afford to lose and still hope to become president. Despite polling well in Pennsylvania throughout the summer, Clinton’s team is nevertheless bearing down in a state her party has carried in six straight elections. They are ratcheting up advertising and dispatching their top supporters to Pennsylvania, from Bill Clinton to Joe Biden to last week’s visit from President Barack Obama. “We’ve got to fight for this thing,” Obama thundered at a rally in Philadelphia last Tuesday. “I need you to...

ST. PAUL—A new Minnesota Poll shows Donald Trump closing Hilary Clinton's lead in the state, which mirrors national polls showing the presidential race tightening. The Star Tribune's Minnesota Poll indicates Clinton would receive 44 percent of the vote and Trump 38 percent if the election were held now. North Dakota native Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate and former New Mexico governor, received 12 percent support, although more than a quarter of those surveyed said they did not know who he is. Democrat Clinton's strongest support came in the heavily Democratic areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where she held a...
