Fox News host Neil Cavuto delivered a closing monologue Thursday questioning President Donald Trump’s habit of calling news stories “fake news” while the President lies frequently and leaves false facts uncorrected. “How can you drain the swamp if you’re the one that keeps muddying the waters?” Cavuto asked. “I guess you’re too busy draining the swamp to ever stop and smell the stink you’re creating. That’s your stink. Mr. President, that’s your swamp.”

EAST MONTPELIER – Producers of pure maple syrup and honey aren’t sweet on a plan to label their pure natural products as containing added sugars. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will be requiring updated nutrition labels for products that are expected to say that pure maple syrup and honey contain added sugars, which the producers and officials say is misleading and confusing and could hurt their industries. "There are no added sugars. Maple is a pure product," said U.S. Rep. Peter Welch of Vermont, the top maple producing state in the country.

“This isn’t some game. You are screwing with the work of the president of the United States.” John Dowd, March 2018. With North Korea, China, the Middle East and so much more, there is not much time to be thinking about this, especially since there was no Russian “Collusion.” and A Rigged System - They don’t want to turn over Documents to Congress. What are they afraid of? Why so much redacting? Why such unequal “justice?” At some point I will have no choice but to use the powers granted to the Presidency and get involved!

Signed boxing gloves from Muhammad Ali, documents from the Bill Clinton impeachment and 3,000 boxes of other papers and memorabilia from a 42-year career in Washington, D.C., will be part of a library and think tank being named for retiring U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch on Wednesday. […] “Presidents normally open entire libraries to house their papers, and those normally cover a period of just four or eight years,” Hatch said. “With 42 years of service, I have quite a bit of history that I’d like to share with my fellow Utahns and those who come here from out of state.”...

President Donald Trump’s approach to his job is seen as unconventional by the vast majority of Americans, with many saying this has not been particularly good for the country. However, few are particularly surprised by Trump’s behavior in office, which is one reason why his job approval rating has remained negative but fairly stable over the past year. The latest Monmouth University Poll also finds that just one-quarter of the public feel Trump has made progress on a key campaign promise to “drain the swamp” in Washington. Pres. Trump’s job rating currently stands at 41% approve and 50% disapprove. This...

On March 9, 2010, Democratic Party speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." Pelosi's infamous words referred to the 2,300-page Affordable Care Act, now more commonly known as "Obamacare." Democratic leadership, anticipating voter backlash, rushed to cram their controversial health care bill through Congress before the 2010 midterm election. Democrats were in such a hurry to send the bill to President Barack Obama, they didn't have time to read it. Obama signed his "legacy bill" on March 23, 2010. Eight months later, Democrats paid...

According to multiple reports on Thursday, it looks like the swamp is finally getting drained, or at least partially. More precisely, we’ve just learned that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has been referred by the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General to the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia for criminal prosecution. Andrew McCabe was fired by AG Jeff Sessions just a couple of days before his retirement, but now the word on the street is that former FBI deputy director lied to investigators with regard to the leaks to the MSM, as per an...

The chief executive of Backpage.com pleaded guilty to state and federal charges including conspiracy and money laundering, and agreed to testify in ongoing prosecutions against others at the website that authorities have dubbed a lucrative nationwide "online brothel," authorities said. "For far too long, Backpage.com existed as the dominant marketplace for illicit commercial sex, a place where sex traffickers frequently advertised children and adults alike," U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. "But this illegality stops right now." Backpage brought in a half-billion dollars since it began in 2004, mostly though prominent risque advertising for escorts and massages,...

The State Department and the Environmental Protection Agency took the hardest hits, collectively eliminating 6,600 jobs over the past year. The federal government didn’t create $21 trillion in national debt overnight, and it won’t disappear overnight either. We have a long road ahead of us to reign in spending and restore constitutionally-limited government. However, we can finally say this: After decades of fighting to help grassroots America take back its seat at the table, the results are in and the numbers don’t lie. The cadre of fiscal conservatives in the House and Senate dedicated to draining the swamp is growing....

Few Republicans in Washington are willing to go head-to-head with President Trump, but there is one band of GOP members willing to stand up to the leader of their own party: lawmakers who have announced their retirements. While it’s not uncommon for members to feel far more liberated on their way out the door, it has taken on a whole new meaning in the Trump era, where lawmakers are confronted daily by a never-ending stream of White House controversies.

There’s breaking news coming out of San Antonio, Texas tonight where a formerly powerful Democrat, Attorney Mark Benavides, has been found guilty on six individual counts of human trafficking in a grotesque and sex-filled criminal conspiracy. Mark Benavides, a well-known Democrat who ran for the 186th District Court in 2014, was accused by federal law enforcement of trading his legal services as an attorney for sex from his clients and then recording those manipulative sex-romps, according to local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 in San Antonio. The clients of Benavides were all criminals such as prostitutes and drug addicts, all of...

Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) announced Friday that he is resigning from Congress immediately after facing a backlash over using $84,000 in taxpayer funds to settle a sexual harassment claim. "While I planned on serving out the remainder of my term in Congress, I know in my heart it's time for me to move along and look for new ways to serve," Farenthold said in a statement. The abrupt resignation is effective as of 5 p.m. on Friday, according to his office. Lauren Greene, the congressman's former communications director, sued her boss over allegations he fostered a hostile work environment where...

President Trump signed the 1.2 trillion dollar Omnibus bill today with open frustration over both the process and the product of that bill. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer heaped praise on Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for their help in what Pelosi called a great bill for the American worker. What wasn’t said was how the Republican and Democrat leadership worked together to force POTUS Trump’s hand and create a voter backlash they hope will fracture Mr. Trump’s base of support among millions of Americans. image: http://dcwhispers.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/aaa355.jpg “How could he sign this...

A timely book by Peter Schweizer, “Secret Empires”, explains how Chinese companies purchased U.S. politicians to gain trade advantages. When you understand this process, you better understand why those same politicians today are against the Trump trade policy that is antithetical to their purchased interests. Reminder: U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue is warning President Trump not to take any trade action against China or he will unleash his purchased control agents within congress and financial media to destroy his presidency. Allow me to re-emphasize: All opposition to President Trump stems from the underlying financial and economic policy. All...

G-man down. And for good reason. President Trump put it succinctly in a tweet yesterday: “As the House Intelligence Committee has concluded, there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. As many are now finding out, however, there was tremendous leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State,” adding a “#DrainTheSwamp” for good measure. The president is right and Andrew McCabe finally ran out of luck Friday night when Attorney General Jeff Sessions gave him his walking papers.
