Comey-Trump feud takes vicious turn

Former FBI Director James Comey's public feud with President Trump is growing strikingly personal. {snip}

The vindictive tone of Comey’s observations stunned Washington, raising concerns even among those who know and respect the former FBI director.

“I’m troubled by it,” said Ron Hosko, a former FBI official who worked under Comey. “It seems very, very personal, vengeful … even if true.”{snip}

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) told reporters Friday his opinion of Comey has changed in light of the new excerpts, saying they reveal a “personal vendetta against the president.”

“Comey’s saying all these things about the president. … To me it is not justified at all — it shows to me a bit of pettiness or bitchiness on Comey’s part,” King said. “I had a much higher regard for Jim Comey before all of this.”

personal vendetta, hmm.. vendetta meaning revenge, usually pursued because of injury or status envy.

According to what's been leaked from the book, Comey describes feeling a personal bias from the beginning. Does it then follow that any investigation he would direct or actions he would take under color of office would be self-serving and to the detriment of the envied person? Self-serving in that the fear of his actions during the election would be exposed?

I’d broke Canon law by injecting himself into the election and violating many long held standards of silence on investigations...

The pettiness factor here is maxing out at a ‘10’. If he were working at some company, the CEO would have HR drag the guy out of the building and terminated from employment. I would take a guess that he’s been that way for the past two decades, and been of no real work value.

I don’t see pettiness as the prime feature here. I see a man desperate not to go to jail.

Comey is messing with the wrong guy. Trump has survived decades in the commercial real estate business in New York City and Atlantic City dealing a variety of “wise guys.”

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) told reporters Friday his opinion of Comey has changed in light of the new excerpts, saying they reveal a “personal vendetta against the president.”

Although Comey may have a personal vendetta this is no longer of importance. Comey knows that due to his illegal actions either Trump goes down or he himself goes to jail. The personal vendetta stage is long past when Trump won the election.

Below is a list of nations with a non extradition treaty with the United States.

Afghanistan, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, the Central African Republic, Chad, Mainland China, Comoros, Congo (Kinshasa), Congo (Brazzaville), Djibouti, EquatorialGuinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Madagascar, Maldives, Mali, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Samoa, São Tomé & Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vatican, Vietnam and Yemen.

Of the above I would highly consider Andorra. It is most beautiful and expensive but Comey can afford it. The UAE has ever luxury one can afford but is hell in the summer. The UAE is quite nice in the winter but they have a hell of an air conditioning systems for their buildings in the summer. If one is into diving just go a few miles South to Oman which also has a non extradition treaty. The spear fishing and just plain fishing and beauty of the sea is most grand. Very nice in the winter. Avoid the summer. It is okay if your have money. One must also consider Vietnam, it is cheap as hell and beautiful now that the war is over. They actually like us as China is now their enemy. I think I would opt for summers in Andorra and winters in Vietnam.

Comey should think about this. It beats the hell out of jail even if it is in the Club Med Federal Prison.

If Comey’s book is flipping NeverTrumpers to Trump’s side, I’d say Comey isn’t getting what he hoped for.

I agree. The swipe he took at Loretta Lynch, hinting at dirt, is also not sitting well. I can just imagine the slight raising of a certain eyebrow in the Zero household as motions are made to distance themselves.

Comey committed a felony , by leaking a presidential briefing between himself and Trump. That is taken as confidential perhaps even classified information, and he himself admits that he leaked it. Comey used government property to record that information and he was probably driven in a government car to the meeting. He then used those items for his personal use and benefit. Those areb felonies. Trump should respond by informing comey’s publisher that royalties and or Advance payments made in exchange for Comey having written this book are subject to seizure or clawback, since they are the results of the commission of a felony and that is illegal. Trum0b should consider obtaining a court order that all set for royalties be held in an escrow account, pending an indictment and subsequent trial of Comey on those specific grounds. That is how Trump should respond.

Vietnam is probably out - communist. Cambodia is a democracy so he wouldn’t fit in there, either. And he’d look like a giant. Some of the African nations also probably not good - they’re all taller than him, he’d feel short. Somehow he doesn’t seem like an island kinda guy, so Bosnia, maybe? It has 3 seasons, cold, colder and coldest. Just like his personality.

This. Trump not only survived, but conquered the commercial real estate market in NYC. Fred Trump had *begged* his son not to try it, he feared it was just too harsh.

Some little piss ant narcissist with a Messiah complex doesn’t scare Trump. Annoy him, yes. Frighten him, no.

well, any day now we can expect all the patriots at the FBI to come forward... you know all the great hard working men and women who love America so much and who are unbiased, and just want the USA to be the greatest country in the world, and who put politics above all else.....

wait.... haven’t I been hearing that for the past year?

Where are these “patriots”?
