Rep. Mo Brooks was the true Trumpian candidate in Alabama, which is why I endorsed him in the primary (here, here and here). When the accusations against Roy Moore first arose, I proposed that the president make a deal to replace Moore with Brooks. Obviously, the GOP would be in a much better position right now if only Republicans had learned to hang on my every word. Instead, everyone did exactly the wrong thing, and they got the worst of all possible worlds. Trump should have endorsed Brooks in the primary, but he endorsed Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s pro-amnesty...

I take it as given that some, at least, of the accusations against Moore can be disproved. And I take it that Moore will follow through on his threat (I would say, “promise”) and sue the miscreants who sprung this “October Surprise.” If in fact he does so, he should IMHO avail himself of the opportunity to think big - and sue the MSM. That is, sue the Associated Press and its membership, joint and several liability. And, he should make it a class action lawsuit naming Republican voters as a class as the plaintiffs. The suit should allege...

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is demanding that Republicans delay a vote on their tax plan following Tuesday's special election in Alabama. "We Senate Democrats are calling on Mitch McConnell to hit pause on his tax bill and not hold a final vote until Doug Jones is sworn in to the Senate," he told reporters during a press conference on Wednesday. He added that "it would be wrong for Senate Republicans to jam through this tax bill without giving the newly elected senator from Alabama the opportunity to cast his vote." Democrat Doug Jones won the special election, defeating...

In a political environment as volatile as this, his power as the Court’s swing vote is at its maximum. It seems counter intuitive that he would retire as his influence reaches its apex. What’s more, Kennedy has a high opinion of the Court’s capacity to bear moral clarity for a restless nation, making his continued service a matter of duty. However true this may be, the justice is 81 and he is, after all, a Republican. Given his age and political inclinations, it is reasonable to assume he would like to retire and would prefer to do so under a...

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) did not mince words when asked to comment on Tuesday night's election results in Alabama. When asked what he believed the "message" from last night was, Johnson said that "Alabamians didn't want somebody who dated 14-year-old girls." He then said that Steve Bannon should learn that the GOP needs better candidates in order to win Senate races before going into an office away from the camera. NBC News tweeted a video of the exchange. Watch the video here: Reporter: "What message did the election send last night?" Sen. Johnson: "Alabamians didn't want somebody who dated 14-year-old girls." pic.twitter.com/tmWDDxIw0G— NBC...

Dec 13 (Reuters) - Minnesota's Democratic Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith was appointed as U.S. senator on Wednesday to replace Al Franken, who resigned after being accused of sexual harassment, the state's governor said at a news conference. Governor Mark Dayton said that Smith will serve a one-year term in the Senate, concluding in January 2019. Smith, 59, will run in a special election for the seat next year. Smith became lieutenant governor in January 2015. The Star Tribune said she previously worked as Dayton's chief of staff and held positions at General Mills and Planned Parenthood. Last week Franken, 66,...

As we all know by now, Judge Roy Moore wound up getting fewer votes than his opponent yesterday. A lot of people today are calling Moore a loser. On first appearances, not knowing the background to yesterday's election, that might seem reasoned. It isn't. Knowing what I know, I have a reaction I'm not seeing others have. I'm sorry to realize that. Judge Roy Moore deserves our thanks for putting his neck on the line, trying to carry the mantle of our ideals into the Senate of the United States. It was an honorable thing to do, and it was...

I posted earlier in light of Roy Moore's loss, that the goalposts will be moved again. Everyone is focused on the woman vs. man thing. That's what Hillary brought us. Before that it was the black vs. white thing. Obama's gift to America. They will bring new things in the next round. If I could place bets on my thoughts, I would. I think the next round will be any candidate (conservative, of course) who is ALLEDGED to have ever made an anti-transgender, anti-Muslim comment. That way, that candidate can be effectively iced out of consideration.

A real probable scenario is that all of the women who accused Moore of sexual misconduct will suddenly disappear from the scene. Mission accomplished. Mitch McConnell can't disappear, but he also bears a huge part of the responsibility for unjustly undermining Moore's campaign. Complete falsehoods were used to win politically. Look at which point in history we have arrived.

If you are a Trump supporter don’t allow yourself to think for a second Roy Moore’s defeat to a Democrat opponent in Alabama is an isolated one-off result. It’s not. D.C. Whispers provided readers with a real-time election night update that began with a rather surprising vote of confidence from the always-good Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft who declared his sources were very optimistic of a Moore victory. During our own real-time updates the actual on-the-ground sources painted a far different picture. It was to be a tight race with momentum shifting in Democrat Doug Jones’s favor. Jones over-performed by a...

When the Alabama Republican Senate Primaries were going on, Trump endorsed Senator Luther Strange. He said Luther Strange and he had a good working relationship and that he was a vote easily given that Trump needed when he was having trouble rallying the healthcare votes. Many people, however, criticized Trump for that choice. I was among them to an extent. I was frustrated, as were many, at the time with the Republican inaction. They couldn't get healthcare through on multiple attempts, and they still don't back him on immigration. At the time, the tax reform bill hadn't gone through as...

......I was the greatest of religious hyprocrites and zeolots, using God's name in vain. I'm not a better than you religious hypocrite and zealot anymore, but by God I do believe in the Higher Power.... Roy Moore may not see God the same way you or I do, but he is dead on target about politics as usual and about the role of God in society. I for one believe it is good to acknowledge God as I understand God. And with the results now coming in and the media declaring Doug Jones the winner....its a good time to reflect...

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, on Wednesday congratulated "Doug Moore" for winning Alabama's special election, in a race that featured Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones."Sweet home Alabama. Thank you Alabamians and Doug Moore. Good has prevailed and our country is on the way to a new day #ikneel," Jackson Lee mistakenly tweeted Tuesday morning. Jones won the seat for Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a close election that was called late Tuesday.

Don't give up just yet..we are talking less than 10k votes...and the Alabama SOS is big on voter fraud....especially on people who change affiliation after voting in primaries...don't give up yet....tomorrow is another day

April 17, 2012. Barcelona, Spain. Many Americans are shocked to find out that a foreign corporation from Spain is contracted to produce, manage and tabulate US elections. The company also recently purchased a US tech start-up to acquire an even larger presence in America. With that acquisition three months ago came the privilege and responsibility of facilitating American elections in 900 municipalities and 26 states. Electronic voting is here, and it’s not American. Check the included list to see if your state is one of them. Cities and states that currently use Spain-based Scytl's SOE Software for electronic voting. Image...

Alabama is allowed to destroy digital voting records created at the polls during today's U.S. Senate election after all. At 1:36 p.m. Monday, a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge issued an order directing Alabama election officials to preserve all digital ballot images created at polling places across the state today. But at 4:32 p.m. Monday, attorneys for Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill and Ed Packard, the state administrator of elections, filed an "emergency motion to stay" that order, which the state Supreme Court granted minutes after Merrill and Packard's motion was filed. By granting the stay, the court effectively...

McConnell and Co. have been getting away with their deceptions for way too long. They are the flip side of the coin that constitutes the 'Deep State'...... I will call it the 'Shallow State'........ With Moore's situation, we now have the opportunity to call McConnell out when he speaks....in a way that will disallow him to hide behind whatever he has been hiding behind for a very long time........ So...when he says that he 'believes the women'....and if what the 'women' say is proven to be false....is McConnell a co-conspirator in what constitutes Election Interference?......... So, then...would he be held...

The Associated Press December 12, 2017 08:51 PM BIRMINGHAM, Ala. The Latest on Alabama's U.S. Senate election (all times local): 10:40 p.m. Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore is not conceding to Democrat Doug Jones, telling campaign supporters "it's not over."

As the future of the United States of America hangs in the balance, the Republicans predictably cowered to the latest Democrat smear attempts in the Alabama Senate election. After being political abandoned by the Republican party and many mainstream pundits, Judge Roy Moore lost the Alabama Senate election in an upset to Democrat Doug Jones.

Our unofficial polling shows senate candidate Roy Moore is sweeping the election in Alabama by a large margin. The president of ORobert Herringne America News would like to congratulate Moore on the fine campaign he and his wife have run. Speaking with campaign representatives, we’re being told there are strong signs the majority of voters have come out in support of the judge. Reports show at least 64% of voters are fiercely opposed to many of Doug Jones’ key platform issues. Campaign officials say the latest results show Moore up by at least eight points over his opponent. OAN would...
