......I was the greatest of religious hyprocrites and zeolots, using God's name in vain.
I'm not a better than you religious hypocrite and zealot anymore, but by God I do believe in the Higher Power....
Roy Moore may not see God the same way you or I do, but he is dead on target about politics as usual and about the role of God in society.
I for one believe it is good to acknowledge God as I understand God.
And with the results now coming in and the media declaring Doug Jones the winner....its a good time to reflect some more, be thankful to God, kind and loving to others and avoid being like the lynch mob that went after Judge Moore....
... Mitt Romney's involvement in the undermining of Roy Moore with the sin of commission and Mike Pence's undermining of Roy Moore with his sin of omission.....
Romney's hostility to Moore calling him a "stain" is in direct proportion to his affinity for the gay marriage forces who sought to prevent a religious freedom bill from being signed in Arizona in 2014....
.... Indiana in 2015 with pressure on then Governor Mike Pence from big business and sports business forces like Tim Cook of Apple. Pence caved on the religious freedom bill there to protect gay marriage dissenters.
...... Pence spent days in Alabama with Luther Strange during the primary runoff trying to defeat Roy Moore, but did not do anything like campaign with Roy Moore in the special general election.
Pence is really at the end of the day the RINO point man in Washington, ready to step in when and if that mob that got Roy Moore's head on a plate puts President Donald Trump's head on one as well.......

The elitists, politicians, and leftards are not of us.
Right out of AA. If we understand God to be a tree is that the same thing?

“...I for one believe it is good to acknowledge God as I understand God. ...”
Shouldn’t it be this:
I for one believe it is good to acknowledge God —as revealed in Scripture— .
Gnosticism was around when the Israelites wandered in the wilderness. They understood God as a golden calf.
Moore lost because, however much his evangelical base was enthusiastic about him, he turned off a lot of Republicans, especially republican women, over his desire for younger women.
Luther might have been GOPe, but he would have voted for Trump’s judicial picks.
I look forward to seeing women who have slept their way to the top even while married getting raked over the coals by 40 year old accusations from the men they sexually commodified and abused. Goose, gander. Fair’s fair. You wanted equality so don’t try to cry-bully when you finally actually are treated as equals. It does not involve politesse or pedestals. You’re not going to like it, ladies.
No 30-something woman likes being reminded that the men she hopes will marry her, would pass her over for a younger woman if they could. That was part of Moore’s problem. Trump had that problem with Republican women, but he overcame it.
Women clearly need to stop thinking with their vaginas.
That’s true. In the meantime, we need to avoid candidates who turn off too many republican women.
Republican women who allow a Democrat to win in Alabama of all places because of their nursing old grudges over their own sexual inadequacy are extremely unreliable allies due to their irrationality. Talk about easily manipulated, easily led sheep.
I agree. However, it’s impossible to win if you alienate too many Republican women. It’s a fact of life which must be lived with. Moore lost because too many Republican women stayed home.
They deserve derision. Their vaginas are clearly Democrat and therefore dumb as a stump.
OK, but do not forget that we will LOSE every single election if a majority of women do not like the Republican candidate. Criticize women’s attitudes all you want, as long as you never forget we NEED them to be motivated to come out and vote.
The same sort of rationale has been used to beat evangelicals over the head for a decade. It’s time women get called on the carpet for their own selfish boycotting against their own demonstrable self interest as purported conservatives. Again, women need to stop thinking with their vaginas. How many political figures who have had heavy support from women have been anything but a disaster from a conservative perspective? I can’t think of a single one.
“No 30-something woman likes being reminded that the men she hopes will marry her, would pass her over for a younger woman if they could. “
As I’ve mentioned before. In the 1970’s, in Alabama. The ONLY women in their 30’s who were unmarried were either divorced, lesbians or ‘career women’. And very few of the latter.
Any women over 22 in fact fit in those categories.
Any man wanting a woman without a ‘past’ sought those under 20. And not college women either.
I don’t remember Prince Charles, in the same time frame, being excoriated for wanting a young virginal wife with no past. That was a ‘fairytale’. He was a 30 something ‘dating’ a teen. Many teens in fact. Diana wasn’t the first ‘marriageable’ teen he ‘dated’.
As a woman, i’m not impressed with women who deny biology. 30+ is long in the tooth. Biology is biology and feelings won’t change it. Men are drawn to younger women because those are the fertile ones. 30 something women who expect to have the attention of a 19/20yr old are delusional for the most part. It’s only since the advent of feminism have women delayed marriage until they’re at the very edge of successful childbearing. Don’t blame the men, blame the feminists who encourage women to wait till they’re 30 something to seek a long term mate.
“...we need to avoid candidates who turn off too many republican women.”
So are we looking to support republicans that “turn on” republican women?
It’s not necessary for the candidate to be a hit with women. Just, as I said, to not be detested by a large fraction of Republican women.
"One great delusion is not one caused by drugs or alcohol but one caused by politics. My political intoxication was living in the delusion of one party being "Conservative" and the other "Liberal".
Its a delusion shared by all kinds of people on both sides fighting each other when we are all just pawns for big business and big banking forces that buy both major parties, that worked together to keep Roy Moore out of the US Senate, who want our great nation to be watered down into a world system.
The Corporatists see low-wage workers moving across borders and rendering them irrelevant in the end.
Their feigned love for social justice and or LGBTQ people and the list goes on is just a sham so they can delude people into being willing partners in a low wage labor scheme where the elites win and the little people lose.
Brexit and Donald Trump stand in their way and both must be vanquished in the end, make no mistake.
God as you understand God is just fine with me.
I find God in the Good Book, there’s no doubt about that being my experience.
