  • Center for American Progress won’t account $5 million in donations

Obama lackey John Podesta who founded the far left Center for American Progress is about as transparent as Obama. The Center of American Progress has been hiding it’s donor lists for month. Finally, today they were shamed into releasing a partial list of donors. Problem is Podesta’s Center for American Progress isn’t accounting for over $5 million in donations from ‘anonymous sources.’ Podesta will likely be a big part of Hillary Clinton’s run next year, if the old granny does in fact run. Wonder if she’ll get questions about her buddy Podesta’s missing $5 million. Funny too that you don’t...

I admit it, that during every FReepathon, when I'm able to donate, I have always clicked other. Usually, it's because the amounts listed are more than I can afford. This time was no different,(esp now, I have no income at all), I donated what I could. I visit FR at least once a day, and I really believe,IT'S JUST THAT IMPORTANT!.
  • The Nations Clinton Bashes For Terrorism Funding Gave UP TO $40 MILLION To Clinton Foundation

Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton harshly criticized three countries for directly funding terrorists who are actively seeking to attack the United States and Western Europe. The governments of this trio of nations have contributed between $16 million and $40 million to the Clinton Foundation. Clinton sharply denounced the three countries — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar — in a speech in Cleveland on Monday. It was her first public speech after Saturday night’s terrorist massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla. The revelation that Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is facing a federal investigation related to campaign donations could complicate Hillary Clinton's effort to win the state in November. The ties between McAuliffe and the Clinton family run deep -- both personally and professionally. McAuliffe often refers to Bill Clinton as his best friend. He served as Clinton's handpicked chair of the Democratic National Committee. Hillary Clinton was an early and enthusiastic supporter of McAuliffe's run for governor in 2013. Several of McAuliffe's key campaign staffers have graduated to the Clinton campaign.. McAuliffe has denied any wrongdoing and said "Investigations happen, no...
  • Trump’s deal with the RNC shows how big money is flowing back to the parties

The deal Donald Trump struck with the Republican National Committee this week that allows wealthy supporters to give nearly $500,000 to finance his campaign and get-out-the-vote activities made it official: The parties are back in the big-money business. Fourteen years after a landmark campaign-finance overhaul clamped down on the flow of unregulated money to party coffers, both Republicans and Democrats are raising huge contributions again with gusto. Supporters of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton can rack up even higher totals because of her decision to launch a 32-state joint fundraising committee with the Democratic National Committee last fall. Between that fund...

The casino magnate Sheldon G. Adelson told Donald J. Trump in a private meeting last week that he was willing to contribute more to help elect him than he has to any previous campaign, a sum that could exceed $100 million, according to two Republicans with direct knowledge of Mr. Adelson’s commitment. As significant, Mr. Adelson, a billionaire based in Las Vegas, has decided that he will significantly scale back his giving to congressional Republicans and direct most of his contributions to groups dedicated to Mr. Trump’s campaign. The two Republicans familiar with Mr. Adelson’s plans spoke anonymously because they...

The Mysterious Case of Ted Cruz PAC’s $1/2 Million ‘Donation’ to Help Carly Fiorina by Rachel Stockman April 27th, 2016 Note: This article was first published March 30, 2016. Months ago, before the Republican race was whittled down to just three candidates, a very curious thing happened. The Ted Cruz super PAC ‘donated’ $500,000 to the Carly Fiorina super PAC, CARLY for America. A few articles popped up at the time, and the Federal Election Commission even issued a letter asking the Cruz super PAC to better explain what the donation was for. To be clear, a half a million...

Hillary Clinton has turned up the rhetorical temperature on Donald Trump lately... “Ugly currents that lurked just the below the surface of our politics have burst into the open. And everyone sees this bigotry for what it is, therefore it is up to all of us to repudiate it,” Clinton said during a speech on race at the annual National Action Network convention... You would think that means she thinks Trump is so bad he should be radioactive to others in politics, and sure enough, the Democratic message machine has gone to great lengths to paint even Trump’s most determined...
  • Trump claims $102 million charitable donations over last 5 years, but gave no personal cash

In a lengthy analysis of data provided by the Trump campaign, Washington Post writers David A. Fahrenthold and  Rosalind S. Heiderman find that claimed charitable contributions by Donald Trump included no actual cash from his personal funds. Since the first day of his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has said that he gave more than $102 million to charity in the past five years. To back up that claim, Trump’s campaign compiled a list of his contributions — 4,844 of them, filling 93 pages. But, in that massive list, one thing was missing. Not a single one of those donations...

Ted Cruz wants to make the argument that he’s best prepared to take on Hillary Clinton in two ways. First, he’s an authentic anti-establishment conservative who has no taint of crony politics or connections to the Clinton establishment, unlike you-kn0w-who. Second, his organization is better prepared to out-organize and out-hustle the Democrats. Bloomberg’s report on Cruz’ fundraising helps underscore the second argument, with a total of $32 million in the first quarter of 2016: Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz raised $12.5m in March, campaign says in news release. Cruz raised $7.6m in January, $11.9m in February, according to FEC...

Are the rest of you as disgusted as I am with the current political process? This began over a year ago and has cost millions of dollars while no end is in sight. In fact we are no closer to having even a nominee for President. Wouldn't it be possible to host the debates on CSPAN as table discussions that could be run without the attacks and disputes that are fostered on the Media television channels? Wouldn't this be a more sensible way to present the candidates and their opinions? It could also eliminate the millions of dollars of fundraising....

We are uncovering critical links between her official duties and the private interests of her family’s foundation. Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) may be trying to foment a political revolution by usurping what he sees as a corrupt campaign finance system, but the Washington Free Beacon pointed out that the darling of the Democratic PartyÂ’s left wing has accepted illegal campaign contributions that number in the thousands, some of which are coming from non-U.S. citizens: Thousands of contributions to Democratic presidential candidate Bernie SandersÂ’ campaign in January violated federal campaign finance laws, election regulators said on Thursday [Feb. 25].The Federal Election Commission sent a letter to the Democratic presidential candidateÂ’s campaign committee on Thursday with a 90-page...

We went to two authoritative databases of campaign finance data to examine Ferguson’s numbers: OpenSecrets.org, to find federal donations, and FollowtheMoney.org, for state-level donations. Trump has actually been relatively evenhanded in doling out cash to the two parties, but since 1989, he’s contributed over $350,000 more to Republicans running for federal and state offices, campaign finance records show. Data from the Federal Election Commission and state elections offices provided by the two websites show that Trump has given $584,850 to Democrats and $961,140 to the GOP over the last 26 years. The difference in donations is almost entirely captured in...

When running a campaign where your base wants to hear about how you will eat the rich and put the 1% in their proper place, the wealthy truly have to learn to tread carefully. With that in mind, somebody over at Hillary Headquarters might want to suggest that when the subject of money comes up during interviews or debates, their candidate should just pretend she has a foot cramp and change the subject. It seems that every time Hillary Clinton opens her mouth on the subject of cash lately, her foot winds up halfway down her throat. When she was...

January 31, 2016 FoxNews.com The Wounded Warrior Project, the charity for wounded veterans, has been placed on Charity Navigator’s watch list over accusations of using donor money toward excessive spending on conferences and parties instead of on recovery programs, according to CBS News. According to the charity’s tax forms, obtained by CBS News, spending on conferences and meetings increased from $1.7 million in 2010, to $26 million in 2014, which is the same amount the group spends on combat stress recovery. Charity Navigator is a watchdog organization that evaluates charities in the U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Erick Millette, who returned...

With GOP candidate Donald Trump bowing out of tonight's Fox News debate, he's been the talk of the town. I know what you're thinking. When hasn't he been, right? I know how you feel. You either love him or you hate him. Well a photo is making its way around the Internet that might actually boost him just a touch with those who aren't quite ready to jump on the Trump train. It's a picture of his personal finances and shows how much money he's given to charities over the last five years. It's a pretty substantial amount.

We’ve heard Ted Cruz detests “New York values.” What we’re not hearing about is his hypocritical “situational” approval of these values and the “values” of a similar location: San Francisco. Nor have we heard about the Senator’s refusal to stand up and defend his New York and San Francisco “values” donors whose lives are threatened by the “values” of Pastor Kevin Swanson one of his convenient Iowa supporters. In 2009 when Cruz first decided to run for public office, he received a donation of $251,000 from Peter Thiel a San Francisco billionaire whose “values” include supporting gay marriage. Cruz wanted...

Numerous organizations had disassociated themselves from Bill Cosby even before the comedian was charged with a crime for any of the alleged sexual assaults he committed over the years. Colleges and universities have scrubbed the formerly-beloved TV dad's name from their buildings. Others have rescinded honorary degrees given to Cosby and more have returned donations he has provided. But one organization that has yet to make a move regarding Cosby is the Clinton Foundation. [Snip] Of course, there's one explanation that could explain the Clinton's slow response to the Cosby affair. Bill Clinton himself has been accused by numerous women...
