Dallas health officials say Ebola patient Nina Pham's dog has tested negative for the deadly disease. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Bentley has been in quarantine since Pham's diagnoses last week. Dallas Animal Services has been overseeing his care. Samples taken from him on Monday show he does not have Ebola. New samples will be taken and tested at the end of his 21-day quarantine period. Pham is being treated at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. She is currently listed in good condition.

James Wathen, 73, is a terminally-ill patient at Baptist Health Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky. His body frail and spirit weak, hospital staff were having difficulty improving Wathen's condition. But Wathen whispered that he was missing his beloved one-eyed-Chihuahua named Bubba, the nurses leant forth their greatest efforts to reunite Wathen with his dog. DALLAS - Officials say the year-old King Charles Spaniel belonging to the Dallas nurse hospitalized with Ebola has been given comfortable bedding, toys and other items to entertain him while he stays at a decommissioned naval air base. City spokeswoman Sana Syed said Tuesday that Bentley is staying in the former residence of the executive officer at the decommissioned Hensley Field, which is owned by the city. Bentley was moved Monday from nurse Nina Pham's apartment to his new home, where he'll be monitored.

Two people were in critical condition in local hospitals Tuesday night after being mauled by four pit bulls near Bret Harte Elementary School in southwest Modesto. A 911 call from a juvenile brought deputies to a home in the 800 block of Glenn Avenue at 5:59 p.m., where they found an elderly man in the yard being mauled by four pit bulls, said Sheriff Adam Christianson. Police are praising a brave man who intervened and saved a woman being viciously attacked by four dogs Sunday morning. The 54-year-old woman was walking her dog in an alley in the central Edmonton neighbourhood of Spruce Avenue, when she was surrounded by a pack of several medium to large-sized dogs. LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — A Littlerock man whose four dogs fatally mauled a jogger in May 2013 has been found guilty of second-degree murder. Alex Donald Jackson, 31, owned four pit bulls that escaped his property and attacked Pamela Marie Devitt, a 63-year-old married grandmother who was out jogging.
